Since a Swiss luxury brand Hublot and the Miami HEAT started their collaboration in December, 2010, we have been waiting for a watch that will celebrate this partnership. Finally, a few days ago, Hublot unveiled the first King Power Miami HEAT Chronograph Watch – a distinctive piece that combines the best of both brands. This exclusive timepiece will be available in the limited quantity of only 200 pieces. Proceeds from the sales of these watches will go directly to the Miami HEAT Charitable fund to benefit the South Florida Community.

The Miami Heat timepiece is crafted from 18-karat King Gold which is actually gold mixed with 5 percent platinum alloy. I do not know if it is a coincidence or not, but the number 48 appears three times in the watch. Housed in an extremely large case with the diameter of 48 mm, a new movement features a special 48 minute central counter which simulates the four 12-minute quarters of a basketball game. The impeccable movement preserves more than sufficient 48 hours of power reserve.

An Impressive Combination of Innovation and Sophistication

The chronograph has two centrally mounted hands. The first hand measures 60 seconds and the other one counts time up to 48 minutes. A small date window is situated between 4 and 5 o’clock positions. The hour and minute hands are skeletonized and thus you can clearly see a complex maze of mechanism elements which joined forces assure high precision.

Hublot King Power Miami Heat Chronograph WatchThe very first piece in the series, numbered 000/200 boasts the numbers of each Miami HEAT player in Jersey font on the back of the watch.

The chronograph pusher is inspired by the shape of the backboard, while the bezel represents a basketball net. The team’s red color has been used on its charmingly designed dial. Also, there is a HEAT logo on the dial and “Miami Heat” inscribed on the sapphire glass case back. Finally, the texturing on the rubber strap that is meant to look like the surface of a basketball ball finishes the sporty look.

This limited edition wristwatch will be available exclusively in South Florida Hublot Boutiques and selected Hublot Retailers. The retail price is $42,400.

The very first timepiece dedicated to one of Miami HEAT players was King Power “Dwyane Wade” Watch. This last year’s limited edition model was produced in the limited quantity of 500 pieces. The Miami HEAT’s captain, Dwyane Wade, became an official Hublot’s Ambassador in 2011.
