This attractive black and white watch is definitely one of the Hublot’s best creations dedicated to a football club, so far. After signing the three-year sponsorship deal with the famous Italian club, the Swiss watchmaker made another step by creating a special edition of a King Power Juventus Turin watch, presented in the club’s colors. The powerful, multi-leveled architecture of the King Power case is complemented with ultra-light and strong carbon fiber, chosen by the team members as the best possible material for this striking model. Bad news for millions of Juventus supporters is that Hublot released the model in the Limited Edition of 200 pieces.

Last August, when the Swiss watchmaker announced its partnership with La Vecchia Signora or “The Old Lady”, as the Italian fans call the famous club from Turin, we should expect nothing more than another spectacular football version of the King Power watch. What is characteristic for these “football editions” is the use of a HUB4245 skeleton chronograph self-winding movement that incorporates the pretty cool 45-minute’ counter that tracks the half-time of the football game. Revealed through the central part of the open-worked dial, the mechanism is adapted to match the aesthetics of the watch, with black galvanic coating and a tungsten carbide heavy metal segment. (You can compare this model with other stunning watches, such as King Power Red Devil chronograph, King Power UEFA Euro 2012 Ukraine Poland Watches and a King Power FC Bayern München.)

The in-house movement comprises 249 parts (including 28 jewels), it oscillates at the frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and provides a power-reserve of 42 hours. The mechanism is also revealed through a sapphire crystal case-back.

A sapphire crystal dial features 45-minute and 60-minute track transfers in black and white. The shorter of two central chrono hands indicates 45-minute interval, while the longer hand displays seconds. The 60-minute counter is placed at the 9 o’clock position, while the 3 o’clock position is reserved for Juventus crest. Finally, the date window takes the 4 o’clock position. Hands come in black nickel with black SuperLuminova coating for great readability.

A bold looking carbon fiber case has the diameter of 48 mm. It incorporates a bezel made of the same material which is fixed by 6 black PVD titanium screws. Its lug and lateral inserts are made of black composite resin, while two push buttons and the crown come in black PVD titanium.

The crown is covered with black rubber, while chronograph push-pieces feature white and black rubber molding. Matching the design code of the case and the dial, there is a white leather strap with a black leather strip in the centre, stitched onto black rubber to ensure superb comfort and longevity.
