La Vecchia Signora or “The Old Lady”, as the Italian fans call the famous club from Turin, chose Hublot to be the club’s official watch provider and official timekeeper starting from the next season 2012/2013. As the part of a three-year sponsorship deal, the renowned watchmaker will create Special Edition of Juve timepieces.
Hublot and Juventus announced their partnership in China, at Beijing National Stadium, prior to the Italian SuperCoppa Final (Juventus Turin vs. Naples), on August 7, 2012. By signing the legendary team, the Swiss watchmaker has increased its link with the world of top-level football. Hublot has already served as the Official Timekeeper and Official Watch of the FIFA World Cup™. Besides, it is a partner of the world’s greatest football clubs, such as Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Ajax Amsterdam.
“It was an obvious choice to join forces with Juventus. They are recognized by everybody as the most successful Italian club and one of the best in the world. There’s no doubt the team will be a great ambassador for us inItaly,” said Valerie Servageon Grande, Hublot’s marketing director, during the ceremony in the Chinese capital.
Founded in 1897, Juventus of Turin is the Italian third-oldest club which has the greatest support in the country, thanks to its glorious history. Juve is the Italian club with the most national titles and the second-best European club of the 20th century (according to the International Federation of Football History & Statistics). Furthermore, it is the first club that won all three major UEFA competitions: the European Champion’s Cup, the Cup Winners Cup and the UEFA Cup.
