A newcomer to the field of luxury timepieces, Hautlance, watch brand from the capital of the Swiss canton of Neuchâtel unveiled its new timepiece. The Hautlence HLC06 in rose gold is inspired by minimalist art and the famed maxim of architect Mies van der Rohe: “less is more”.
This year’s novelty represents a perfect continuation of the first models in the HLC line launched two years ago. The Hautlence HLC06 wristwatch is housed in a round case crafted from 18-karat rose gold. Its case measures 41 mm in diameter and only 9 mm in thickness.
On the right side of the case, at the 4 o’clock position, there is a screw-in crown which is ergonomically positioned, so it won’t dig in your wrist.
For the long life of the watch, a relatively new watchmaker from Neuchâtel shielded its case on both sides by sapphire crystals with angled edges and multi layer of antireflective coatings.
The new Hautlance watch has a gorgeous opaline chocolate dial full with lovely three-dimensional details such as the skeleton semi-opaque hour disk, skeleton minute hand, and skeleton minute index scale.
On the left side of the dial you can read the hours. The exact hour is available through an aperture located in a rotating jump-hour disk. Thus, disk will not slowly move around, but make an instantaneous jump at the end of the hour, in order to reveal the next hour. The minutes are read from the retrograde minute hand, which travels 180 degrees before instantly returns to its starting point on the hour.
The new Hautlence HLC06 watch is equipped with the in-house made mechanical movement with Côtes de Genève decoration and beautiful hand beveled bridges. The hand-wound caliber is the third Hautlence in-house manufactured caliber. The precise and accurate mechanism provides no less than 40 hours of power reserve when fully wound.
Everything about this exquisite wristwatch including the very art of reading time is a statement of brand’s bright and ingenious mastery of watch design. Further, the three dimensional nature of the watch makes it a living masterpiece.
Like all timepieces from Hautlence watch brand, this model is also produced in limited quantity of 88 numbered pieces and comes with a sumptuous hand-sewn alligator strap with a choice of a pin buckle or folding clasp. The retail price for the version with a pin buckle is approximately $58,000, while the model with a folding clasp can be purchased for $61,000.
