The American luxury jeweler and watchmaker marks the tenth anniversary of the Project Z series with the tenth addition dubbed Harry Winston Project Z10. All iterations in this collection use Zalium alloy which is exclusive to the American brand.

Harry Winston Project Z10 Watch

The latest member of the Project Z line features an openworked dial which took inspiration from the construction of the Manhattan Bridge that exudes a lightweight feeling backed up by the lightweight Zalium case.

The satin-finished Zalium case measures 42mm in diameter, 10.62mm in thickness and it is shielded with antireflective sapphire crystals. The water resistance is assured down to 100 meters (approximately 330 feet).

The tenth iteration in the Project Z collection is powered by the Swiss in-house manufactured caliber HW3305 automatic movement which is capable to store enough energy to keep the watch ticking for no less than 65 hours.  The impeccable mechanism is wound by 18-karat white gold openworked oscillating mass and it oscillates at the rapid frequency of 28,800 beats per hour (4 Hz). The movement finishes include circular Côtes de Genève bridges with snailing on the plate, as well as bridges with a sunray spiral on the dial side.

Underneath the front sapphire glass lies a blue anodized aluminium skeleton dial with the off-centered hours and minutes sub-dial. The vivid blue dial also comprises two retrograde displays. The one that shows the days of the week is placed on the right side between 3 and 5 o’clock positions, while the other for the seconds is situated on the left side between 7 and 9 o’clock positions. The latter one is read against a 30-second retrograde scale. There is also a separate date aperture at the 6 o’clock position which is seemingly suspended on cross-shaped girders. The Harry Winston’s design team has also imagined a galvanic black circular satin finish for the ring, rhodium-plated indices, and the black openworked grid in the center.

Harry Winston Project Z10 is teamed up with a matching blue alligator leather strap with rubber lining, ending with a Zalium ardillon buckle. The watch is issued in the limited series of only 300 pieces.
