The famous German watchmaking brand Grieb & Benzinger has announced the release of a new model that commemorates the third anniversary of a luxury magazine Simply Abu Dhabi.

The CEO of the magazine and a big fan of Grieb & Benzinger timepieces, Arnie Hari said: “The beginning of friendship between us served our mutual support and collaboration during the creation of the first issue. On the third anniversary of the magazine, it is decided to launch a new timepiece presented in a single copy.”

Grieb & Benzinger Black Tulip Sabudha Imperial Watch Front

Simply Abu Dhabi is the only English-language magazine in the United Arab Emirates and one of the few magazines distributed in the offices and homes of Emirati royalty and ultra-high net worth individuals across the Middle East. The luxury magazine which illustrates the best of the best from the world of bespoke luxury is published quarterly. A digital version of the magazine is available via their website http://simplyabudhabi.com/magazine/.

To celebrate the magazine’s third birthday, Grieb & Benzinger created a stunning Black Tulip Sabudha Imperial timepiece which is presented in a solid rose gold case. This unique piece is inlaid with the most mystical stone – black spinel. This gemstone was not chosen accidentally, given the fact that, at present, it is one of the rare in the world. I must say that the black spinel which has been set on a bezel is a perfect choice and a direct reference to the magazine’s link with the Royal Palatial Homes and Offices of the ruling families of Abu Dhabi.

The design of its skeletonized dial has been inspired by the Arabic motifs and the artistry of Abu Dhabi’s famed Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. The open-worked dial brings an amazing contrast of black and gold.

Grieb & Benzinger Black Tulip Sabudha Imperial Watch Caseback

Grieb & Benzinger Black Tulip Sabudha Imperial is created by an ancient technology and the reverse side of the hand-wound movement that has been incorporated in this watch has also been beautifully decorated by using the 19th century techniques. Probably the biggest problem about this newcomer is to choose which side to focus your attention on.

Although the price has not been publicly revealed, it is expected to be within the six figure US dollars range.
