The jury of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève announced the list of 70 watches that continue the competition for one of 16 prestigious prizes which every year highlight the best annual horological creations, as well as the most notable names in the watchmaking industry. The 13th GPHG Awards Ceremony will take place on November 15, 2013, at the Grand Théâtre de Genève. The complete list of 70 pre-selected timepieces is available on the Grand Prix’s official website www.gphg.org.
The Foundation of the Watchmaking Grand Prix will award watches selected in the following categories: Grande Complication, Ladies Watch, Ladies Complications Watch, Men’s Watch, Men’s Complication Watch, Innovation Watch, Jewellery Watch, Artistic Crafts Watch, Sports Watch and “La Petite Aiquille”. One of 70 masterpieces will be prized with “Aiguille d’or” which is a supreme award for the best annual creation.
Besides, all watch fans can vote for their favorite timepieces on the official Internet page or on the GPHG mobile app, thus becoming a part of the very special jury which decides about the Prix du Public winner. By participating in this voting, you will get a chance to be selected as a watch winner.
Before the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève Award Ceremony, pre-selected watches will be a part of a traveling exhibition that will be held in Beijing from October 11 to 13. Seventy timepieces will also be exhibited in Macao, from October 15 to 18 and then in Dubai, from October 22 to 24. The watches will return to Asia after the award ceremony, to be presented in
Singapore, from November 21 to 28, in the L’Atelier by The Hour Glass boutique. In the meanwhile, they will be on display in the Genevian Cité du Temps, from November 1 to 10.

Zenith El Primero Stratos Flyback Striking 10th Chronograph is my favorite for the Best Sport Watch in 2013. It will run for the title together with Chopard Superfast Power Control, Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Diver and several other models. Finally, in “La Petite Aiquille” category, I especially like Habring2 Jumping Second Pilot, as well as Zenith’s Pilot Montre d’Aéronef Type 20 GMT watch.
