Here it is yet another stunning eye-catcher from the Glashütte Original watchmaking house featuring the characteristic off-centered hour/minute display. Glashütte Original PanoMatic Luna Boutique Edition, as its name suggests, will be available only in the official Glashütte Original boutiques.
The new boutique edition of the Glashütte Original’s Panomatic Luna boasts a fabulous pale blue mother of pearl dial which is made by the manufactory’s own dial-maker in Pforzheim. The precious dial comprises 18 sparkling brilliant-cut diamonds which are divided over 9 hour markers, as the small seconds intersect the hour and minutes dial.
Considering the fact that the mother of pearl is quite fragile, it must be handled with extreme attention. In order to achieve the pale blue nuance, the back of the delicate white base material is coated with a layer of lacquer. Because of distinctive mother of pearl’s naturally textured hues, each dial has its unique character making each piece unique.
Besides the off-centered hour and minute display and a small seconds counter, the stunning dial also comprises a classic panorama date window which is placed at the 4 o’clock position and a silvery moon-phases indicator with an array of stars around the Moon which appears at the 2 o’clock position. The oval date display is based on two dial discs mounted concentrically on the same level for utmost readability.
The beautiful ladies’ watch is housed in an elegant, polished stainless steel case measuring 39.40mm in diameter. The feminine case is framed by 64 white brilliant cut diamonds set on its bezel. There is also a 3mm brilliant-cut diamond which enhances the winding crown for the total number of 83 brilliant-cut diamonds (weighing 1.09 carats).
Glashütte Original PanoMatic Luna is equipped with the in-house manufactured caliber 90-12 automatic movement featuring a decentralized rotor with a 21-karats gold swing mass with the skeletonized double G, a hand-engraved balance bridge, the three-quarter plate, blued screws and the typical Glashütte striped finish. The inner beauty of the watch can be admired through the sapphire crystal case back. The movement oscillates at the frequency of 28,800 beats per hour (4 Hz) and provides no less than 42 hours of power reserve.

A matching blue Louisiana alligator leather strap with pin buckle completes the overall look of the new PanoMatic Luna timepiece. The retail price is Euro 17,500 which is approximately $18,100.
A prestige German watchmaking company also offers non-boutique editions of the watch which come with a white dial and a darker hue mother of pearl dial.
