The luxury Swiss manufacturer, Girard-Perregaux, in collaboration with Susan Rockefeller designed a special edition watches and named them ‘Mission of Mermaids’ (MOM) upon Susan’s most recent documentary. The following Wednesday (September 25), the Swiss watchmaker and the Rockefellers will join forces with the founder and the lead guitar player of Chic, Nile Rodgers, for the “Changing Watch” event supporting We Are Family Foundation which is involved in environmental programs, including the program for the protection of the oceans.
For this occasion, Girard-Perregaux introduces two special editions: a sporty Sea Hawk and an elegant Lady Chrono model.
Sea Hawk MoM – Created in the Diver`s Style

Girard Perregaux Sea Hawk Mission Of Mermaids Watch
The new special edition Sea Hawk MoM is housed in a 44mm stainless steel case with a unidirectional diver bezel. It features a green rehaut and several of the hands are executed in green. A mermaid is printed in a small seconds counter which is located between 10 and 11 o’clock positions. Furthermore, the logo is also printed in green on the case back of the watch. I must say that these green elements give a special charm to the new GP diving timepiece.

The watch features a black dial with large hour markers and hands with a white luminescent substance. A date window is located between 1 and 2 o’clock positions, while the semi-circular power reserve display is situated at the 6 o’clock position.
The beating heart of the Sea Hawk MoM watch is in-house manufactured caliber GP03300-0074 mechanical movement. The 27 jewels mechanism oscillates at the frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and provides no less than 46 hours of power reserve.
This special edition model is a reminder of the brand’s experience in the field of sport watches. Just to remind you that the first volume production of wristwatches in Girard-Perregaux’s manufacture began in 1880, and sixty years later, GP presented the first generation of Hawk.

The screw down crown at the 4 o’clock position comes with the brand’s logo on its tip.
Sea Hawk MoM with the referent number 49960-19-1305SFK6A is attached to a comfortable, black rubber strap and it can be purchased for €10,800 (about $14,600). For instance, the regular Sea Hawk costs € 9, 900, but with the purchase of this special watch, you will show that you want to participate in ocean protection.
