The Girard-Perregaux’s famous Chrono Hawk model that has been firstly launched last year is now available with a stainless steel bracelet that brings a new level of sophistication to the popular line of men’s watches. The new bracelet is tooled with a micro-adjustment clasp and once again demonstrates the brand’s excellence.
This novelty is characterized by its asymmetric case, a bezel divided into circular and octagonal parts and an amazing dial encrusted with a pattern that evokes the silhouette of the well-known Girard-Perregaux Tourbillon Bridge.
The new bracelet has an original and functional geometric style which combines two types of links. The first one generates a powerful line running along the middle, while the second type surrounds the first one. Two types of links also exhibit alternating polished and satin finishes on the two outer bevels of the central links.
The new version of the Girard-Perregaux Chrono Hawk is available in two variants. The first one matches a silver dial (ref. 49970-11-133-11A), while the second one boasts the eye-catching metallic blue dial surface (ref. 49970-11-431-11A). Both models are equipped with the exclusive caliber GP03300 mechanical movement that provides the usual set of functions (hours, minutes and seconds) with a date and chronograph functionality. The self-winding mechanism is capable to provide at least 46 hours of power reserve when fully charged. It is built on 61 jewels and has a beating rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz).
Like the other Chrono Hawk models, the steel bracelet version is housed in a masculine case with the diameter of 44mm and the thickness of 17.8mm. The case is shielded on both sides with sapphire crystals and it is constructed to resist water pressure of up to 100 meters (about 330 feet).
Two chrono counters are placed on its dial at 3 and 9 o’clock positions, while the date window is situated at the 6 o’clock position and well-balanced with the Girard-Perregaux’s logo located at the 12 o’clock position.
The new steel band is easy to handle thanks to a secure folding clasp with a micro-adjustment system that ensures the maximum comfort of the wearer. The steel bracelet model is also available with interchangeable rubber strap, which can be ordered separately. The retail price of Chrono Hawk with a steel bracelet will be $15,100.
