The Eberhard & Co. Tazio Nuvolari collection is enhanced with a new “time-only” timepiece with a date functionality. This newcomer is unveiled last month on the occasion of the prestigious GranPremio Nuvolari – the event of which Eberhard & Co. is a sponsor and the official timekeeper.
The new Tazio Nuvolari Solo Tempo is housed in a round stainless steel case which measures 42.5mm in diameter and 11.35mm in thickness. The case with distinctly sporty look incorporates a steel bezel with a steel circular insert treated in PDV, with relief indexes. On the right side of the case there is a screw-in steel crown which is personalized with the “E” on its tip.
When you turn the watch upside down, you can see a steel case-back personalized with an engraving of the Mantua pilot’s signature and fixed with 8 screws. The watch is coated with anti-reflective sapphire crystals and constructed to resist water pressure up to 100 meters (around 330 feet).
Underneath the front sapphire glass lies a sleek, black dial with a “perlée” zone which comprises 12luminescent Arabic numerals framed in red. The driver’s signature and the initials “TN” are situated in the white carapace on the opaque black central zone. The hour and minute hands are filled with luminescent substance, while the central seconds hand is colored in a striking red. There is also a white-on-black date window which is placed at the 6 o’clock position.
The Tazio Nuvolari Solo Tempo (ref. 41032) is powered with the automatic movement 2824-2 11 ½’’ which displays hours, minutes, seconds and date. This novelty comes either with a black alligator strap with a red stitching, ending with E&C personalized steel buckle or with a “Charme” steel bracelet fitted with a buckle personalized with the stylized mascot tortoise of Tazio Nuvolari. There is also an optional deployment clasp Déclic (patented).
