Modern and stylish, a new Dior Chiffre Rouge C03 watch combines design simplicity with a striking mixture of black and red, for a very interesting and distinctive look. For the high-end performances, there is Zenith’s mechanism, powering this great creation. The main complication, a moon-phase indicator is unpretentiously presented on the center of a bold interface, perfectly matching a minimalistic design. Ideal for a modern and elegant man, this new Dior’s model comes in the limited series of 100 pieces.

First time introduced in 2004, Chiffre Rouge Collection is dedicated to the brand’s men costumers. First that you can notice by looking at timepieces from this range is an interesting contrast between asymmetric case and graphic design, marked by three colors – black, red and white. Although its size (38 mm in the diameter) is a characteristic of classic watches, this is definitely a contemporary model that can be worn both with a suit and with some more casual outfit.

Unusual prominent lugs with asymmetric shape make the watch look more robust than it size can suggest. A perfectly round and brushed bezel is marked by coin edge and an interesting crown adorned with a guilloché pattern and a red lacquered ring. Both the case and the bezel are made of stainless steel, which makes a nice contrast with a black-lacquered dial and a stylish black leather strap.

Speaking about the dial, it brings some extra quality, presented through its design simplicity. The minute track, the small seconds indicator and the disc for the moon-phase indicator are all presented in the slightly different shade of black, which does not seem to be a drawback for the readability, while it provides a bold appearance of the new Dior’s timepiece. At the same time, numerals at the small second sub-dial, bright hands, as well as an image of the moon create a high contrast with the matt-black surface. Finally, at the 2 o’clock position, there is a date window that reveals a black disk with red numerals. The dial is covered with anti-reflective sapphire crystal.

The Chiffre Rouge C03 watch is powered by an Elite 691 Calibre. This self-winding mechanism is created by Zenith which is shown at a black lacquered oscillating weight via engraving “DIOR HOMME CALIBRE ZENITH 691”. This movement, revealed through a translucent black sapphire crystal glass, makes 28’800 vibrations per hour and ensures around 50 hours of power-reserve.
