De Witt has launched a new model from its Classic collection named Jumping Hour after the complication it features. Apart from the inconspicuous jumping hours at the nine o’clock position, it likewise includes two more separate off-centered dials for minutes and seconds. All three indications are placed in a horizontal line. The watch runs on an automatic movement which is fitted into a modestly sized casing made from red gold. De Witt Classic Jumping hours will be available in three dial colors (white, blue and black) which will all be boasting a sunray pattern decoration.
Horizontally Aligned Indications
The Swiss brand with production facilities set near Geneva, De Witt, has made its jumping hour timepiece with a slightly unusual design. Unlike most other similar watches which have an aperture for hours at the top of the dial, De Witt’s novelty has this opening on the far left part of the face. This aperture is on the small side and lays inside the largest minute sub-dial. The final remaining seconds scale is likewise overlapping with the minute dial, but it is somewhat smaller than it. Both minute and second dials are paired with red gold appliqués and they both include gray counters. However, while the minute one is surrounded by a red gold-toned circle, the seconds scale actually encircles its smaller appliqué. The dial is distinguished by a nice looking sunray pattern and, as it has been mentioned, it is available in three colors: white (with the reference number CLA.HSA.002), blue (the CLA.HSA.004) and black (CLA.HSA.005).
Caliber and Price yet to Be Disclosed
De Witt Classic Jumping Hours timepiece has an automatic mechanical movement with the power storage that lasts for 42 hours. Even though the manufacturer does not state the specific caliber it used in the model, it says that it includes a 3-armed Glycodur balance which runs at the rate of 28,800 vph.
The newcomer comes in a round housing with a mid-sized diameter of 40 mm and the thickness of 10.6 mm. Its case is made from 18 K red gold, as are its bezel, crown and buckle. Both front side crystal and the back side of the housing that shows its movement are crafted from sapphire. For the attachment, De Witt chose a black alligator leather strap which fastens with a pin buckle. There is still no official information regarding the price of the newcomer, though it is quite clear that the watch will not be that affordable simply because of its golden housing.
