The contemporary style characteristic for this innovative Swiss watchmaker got the new dimension with the Kuros Collection. Sporty, masculine and stylish at the same time, new Cyrus Kuros Chronograph watches represent immediately recognizable architecture, marked in meticulously finished titanium and red gold. Another powerful distinction of the Kuros watches comes with an interesting design of a dial, highlighted by famous triangles (the brand’s logo), as well as by specially indicated chrono functions. Two versions, one showing a silver dial (Ref. 598.201.A) and the other one with a black dial (598.202.A) are produced in limited editions of 188 pieces.

Cyrus Kuros Titanium Red Gold Watch
The robust case with the diameter of 44 mm is made of titanium, including red gold pushers and two crowns. Prominent lugs are well curved to perfectly fit a wrist of the watch. Satin, polished, and sandblasted finishes are there to provide alluring aesthetics. Edges of the case, including those of chronograph pushers and beautifully grooved crowns, look truly impressive. Combined with a sporty black rubber strap, this is an extraordinary timepiece that simply stands out. For those who prefer more elegant look, there is an alternative crocodile leather band. Its folding clasp matches the design of the case, which is yet another detail that makes you love this piece.

Cyrus Kuros Titanium Red Gold Watch Silver Dial
Either silver or black, the dial features a striking pattern that incorporates applied, three-dimensional hands which are as impressive as 3-D hands and chronographs disks made of red gold. They are covered by SuperLuminova to ensure the high level of legibility. Chrono functions are indicated by special hands placed between 4 and 5 o’clock positions which mimic the shape of the three-part logo, also visible at crowns, chronograph discs and screws at the case-back. The 30-minute counter is at the 3 o’clock position, while the 12-hour counter takes the 6 o’clock position. The small seconds sub-dial is at the 9 o’clock position, while the top of the dial is reserved for the wide date window.

Cyrus Kuros Titanium Red Gold Watch Dial
A mysterious feature becomes revealed by moving the 9 o’clock crown to the left, when the serial number of the model shows up on the plate fitted at the base. This is one of those features that have a purpose to present watchmaker’s creativity and the ‘know-how’, which is not something that will impress some horological puritan.

Cyrus Kuros Titanium Red Gold Watch Caseback
Inside the case, there is a self-winding movement that beats with 28’800 vibrations per hour and ensures 37 hours of power-reserve. The case-back incorporates an identical copy of more than 2,500-year-old coin, fashioned during the reign of Cyrus. The coin whose original is owned by the founders of the Cyrus watchmaking brand in Switzerland presents images of a lion and a bull, the indisputable symbols of authority during the reign of Cyrus.
The titanium case-back is engraved with a special message for the owner: “Share the values of Cyrus the Great, the powerful conqueror, considered as the precursor of human rights. His spirit of conquest is still living in this timepiece. Be part of it.”
