A Swiss watch company Corum unveiled its new watch which will be a beacon for both business travelers and adventurers. The new Corum Admiral’s Cup Challenger 48 Day & Night Watch is sporty and elegant. It features an extremely readable dual time-zone display and day/night indication. Corum presented two limited edition models with white and black dials, representing the day and night.
This newcomer kept the signature codes of the collection. It is housed in a large-sized case crafted from grade 5 titanium. The case measures 48 mm in diameter and 15.05 mm in thickness. Its masculine case incorporates a twelve-sided bezel coated with a black vulcanized rubber and a screw-down crown with side protection also coated with black vulcanized rubber. Further, the watch case is shielded by a glare-proof sapphire crystal and constructed to withstand diving in water at depths up to 300 meters (approximately 1,000 feet).
The Watch that Radiates an Aura of Timeless Youthfulness
The most attractive part of the watch is its dial. The central part of the dial is encrusted with a map of the world which is divided into 24 time-zone sections set on a transparent rotating disc. The disc has a dual function. It bears a small white indicator that indicates the second time zone, regulated by the crown. This function allows the user to check the time in another part of the world anytime he wishes. This feature has one more characteristic – when the white indicator reaches to the GMT point, half-toned dial shows how much of the planet is illuminated by the Sun, and how much of it is plunged into darkness.
The dauphine-styled skeletonized hour and minute hands are embellished at the tips with a luminescent material, whilst the seconds hand boasts the well-known CORUM key epitomizing the brand identity. The dial also comprises a date window which is situated at 3 o’clock position.
The Corum’s novelty is powered with the caliber CO 171 mechanical movement. The 24 jewels mechanism provides full 46 hours of power reserve and beats at the rapid frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz). The watch also has a transparent case back where you can see the inner beauty of the impeccable mechanism.
The Swiss watchmaker offered two versions of Corum Admiral’s Cup Challenger 48 Day & Night watch. The first version with a black dial evokes nighttime and it is produced in a limited quantity of 200 pieces, while the second model which symbolizes daytime is available in a limited number of 150 pieces.
For the best comfort of the wearer the new Corum Admiral’s Cup timepiece comes with a black rubber-look leather strap fitted with a grade 5 titanium pin buckle, engraved with the Corum logo.
