This year, we have seen dozens of timepieces that have been launched in cooperation between luxury watchmakers and celebrities. Among them there is the new Timemaster Chronograph Day Date F4 which is the fruit of the cooperation between Chronoswiss on one side and Thomas D, Smudo, Michi Beck and And.Ypsilon, better known as “Die Fantastischen Vier” (The Fantastic Four) on the other side.
In 2015, this famous German hip-hop band is celebrating its 25th anniversary and this special edition timepiece marks this jubilee.
Die Fantastischen Vier has six million recordings sold, ten of which have gone gold and six platinum. The band is among the greatest bands in pop history of this European country.
Chronoswiss Timemaster Chronograph Day Date F4 “ Die Fantastischen Vier” Special Edition provides a day-of-the week as well as a digital date display in the aperture located at the 3 o’clock position.
The watch face features Timemaster’s characteristic eye-catching representation of the four numbers 2, 4, 8 and 10, which refers to the “4″ from the Fantastic Four’s live logo. The watch exudes a more minimalist design in keeping with the band’s new look. It is mostly based on classic black-and-white color contrasts, except the lettering of the F4 Limited Edition which comes in striking fire-engine red. Furthermore, all details on its dial, as well as hands are coated with Super-LumiNova which is white in daylight, while it glows green in the dark.
The watch is powered with the caliber C. 771 automatic movement which promises up to 46 hours of power reserve. The mechanism is built on 25 jewels and has a beating pace of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz).
Timemaster Chronograph Day Date F4 is offered in two variants. The first one is housed in a DLC-coated stainless steel case (ref. CH-9045-F4) and attached to a black rubber strap with a folding clasp, while the second model (ref. CH 9043B-F4 ) sports a stainless steel case with a DLC-coated bezel and a five-row steel bracelet.
The sporty case is partly polished and partly satin finished measuring 44mm in diameter and 15.30mm in thickness. The case also incorporates a screw-in crown and two chrono push-pieces and it is constructed to resist water pressure up to 100 meters (330 feet).
The reverse side of the watch reveals the live logo of “Die Fantastischen Vier” – a striking and polished number “4”.
Chronoswiss Timemaster Chronograph Day Date F4 “ Die Fantastischen Vier” Special Edition is delivered in an exclusive box with the four musicians’ images on the inside. The watch is issued in a limited series of 200 timepieces and each of them comes with a special bonus – four exclusive, previously unpublished photographs of the band, one of them with all band members’ original signatures which are enclosed in a clip frame.
