Chopard offered a trio of interestingly colored watches packed in a special sliding top wood presentation box. These three unusually colored timepieces are named champagne, cognac and burgundy by the colors of their dials and straps. Further, the presentation box is similar to those boxes which house fine wines.

Chopard L.U.C XPS Champagne, Bordeaux and Cognac Watch
The Chopard L.U.C XPS range is widely popular and through the years, it has become an authentic classic. These watches are among the most wanted dress timepieces. Each of these novelties is equipped with the hand-assembled in-house made caliber L.U.C 96.12-L (L.U.C 12.96) mechanical movement tooled with two barrels which ensure a 65-hour power reserve which is pretty awesome considering the fact that the mechanism is housed in an ultra-thin case (only 7.13mm thick). That has been achieved thanks to a clever construction based on a micro-rotor.
The self-winding movement, collected on 29 jewels, has the frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz). A chronometer-certified mechanism features bridges encrusted with Côtes de Geneve and it is equipped with Chopard’s patented Twin technology (two barrels).

Chopard L.U.C. XPS Bordeaux Watch
This caliber is housed in either 18-karat rose or 18-karat white gold with the diameter of 39.5mm. The case is shielded with glare-proofed sapphire crystals and boasts a transparent case back where you can enjoy the inner beauty of the watch. On the right side of the case there is a screw-in crown with L.U.C logo on its tip. The water resistance of the case is assured down to 30 meters (about 100 feet).
Aesthetic refinement and technical perfection come together
The case boasts a flat bezel and an extremely slender caseband. This two-fold approach resulted in light, timeless and quite balanced lines for a model that won the first prize at Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix 2006 in the ultra-thin watch category.

Chopard L.U.C. XPS Champagne Watch
Underneath the front glass lies an elegant sunburst satin-brushed dial with gilt markers, dauphine-styled hour and minute hands and gilt baton-styled small seconds hand. There is a choice among Champagne (ref. 161920-5005), Cognac (ref. 161920-1005) and Bordeaux color of its dial (ref. 161920-5004) followed by the matching colored hand-sewn alligator leather strap, ending with either rose or white gold pin buckle.

Chopard L.U.C. XPS Cognac Watch
These L.U.C XPS timepieces are available as a set of three specimens and therefore, they are presented in a special wooden box, or for individual purchase. The retail price is the same as for the standard L.U.C XPS models – $16,780 each.
