Chopard Happy Sport Automatic Saint Valentine’s Day 2014 ladies’ watch is based on their previous Happy Sport Medium Saint Valentine’s Day 2013 model, but features a bit more sophisticated level of decoration and, for the first time, it boasts an automatic movement.
The self-winding movement is finished according to the best Swiss traditions, encrusted with Côtes de Geneve pattern, and partly exposed via the sapphire crystal case back. The impeccable mechanical mechanism has a beating rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and offers no less than 42 hours of power reserve when fully charged.
The mechanism offers the usual functions of hours, minutes and seconds with additional date functionality. A small black-on-white date window is placed between 4 and 5 o’clock positions.
For the upcoming universal day of love, Chopard has prepared two stunning watches. Each of them features a guilloché silver-toned dial encrusted with seven moving diamonds, thus adding an amazing mechanical dimension to the watch face. Both watches are housed in feminine, round cases with diameters of 36mm. Its adorable case is shielded with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal which protects the dial window from scratches and offers clear reading of time.
The model with the referent number 278559-3001 is housed in a stainless steel case and comes with an alligator leather strap, ending with a steel pin buckle, while the version with the referent number 274808-5003 sports an 18-karat rose gold case with a diamond-set bezel. This exquisite timepiece is attached to an elegant satin strap, fitted with an 18-karat rose gold pin buckle.
In 2013, Chopard celebrated the 20th anniversary of its Happy Sport collection. For the last 20 years, this charming and cheerful range has become one of the Chopard’s most successful collections of ladies’ timepieces.
