The new Breguet Reine De Naples Princesse 8968 is inspired by the very first wristwatch by Abraham-Louis Breguet for Caroline Murat, the queen of Naples. The watch belongs to the Reine de Naples watch collection which is identified by its delicate, oval-shaped case.

An elegant, classic-looking case of the new ladies Brequet features the usual, recognizable details, such as a notched side strip and a crown which is ergonomically situated at the 4 o’clock position. This novelty is also distinguished by a modern off-centered dial which comprises stylized Roman numerals 6 and 12 and a very light variation of the traditional Breguet hands.

The watch is housed in an 18-karat rose gold case measuring 43mm x 34.95mm. The oval case incorporates a bezel and a crown also crafted from rose gold. The crown is adorned with an inverted diamond that gives a touch of brilliance to the new Brequet watch.

Its gorgeous case has been curved to fit the shape of the ladies’ wrist and to ensure that the timepiece can be worn in comfort, yet to reveal a multitude of forms depending on the point of view. The case is protected with sapphire crystals and it can resist water pressure of up to 30 meters (approximately 100 feet).

Underneath the front sapphire glass lies a plain dial in silvered and anthracite-colored gold which is encrusted with manually operated engine-turned motifs. The dial continues to follow the line of the case, thus creating an illusion of depth, which is enhanced with the rose gold numerals 6 and 12. The ball attachment is encrusted with brilliant-cut diamonds, while the clasp of the black leather strap is also decorated with 29 brilliant-cut diamonds.

Breguet Reine De Naples Princesse 8968 is equipped with the Breguet in-house manufactured caliber 591C self-winding movement that provides 38 hours of power reserve when fully wound. The mechanism is built on 25 jewels and has a beating pace of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz). The movement decoration includes gold oscillating weight and Geneva stripes.

Although inspired by the historic Reine de Naples collection, the new Reine De Naples Princesse 8968 brings its own contemporary and stylized identity.
