This year, Baume & Mercier ends by announcing the brand new line of watches – Clifton Collection that will be presented at SIHH 2013, and also by unveiling some new models. Among this year’s novelties, there are two ultra feminine and delicate Linea timepieces.
Each of these two models is housed in a small-sized case with the diameter of only 27mm and with the thickness of 9.8mm. Its polished and satin-finished stainless steel case incorporates a bezel engraved with Arabic numerals as hour markers.
The case is coated with scratch-resistant sapphire crystals assured with an anti-glare treatment. The case provides water resistance up to decent 50 meters (approximately 165 feet). Underneath the sapphire glass, there is a mother-of-pearl dial with snailed finishes. Its simple, yet elegant dial comprises eleven top Wesselton diamonds (totaling 0.04 carats). There is also a small black-on-white date window which is placed at the 6 o’clock position.
The new Baume & Mercier wristwatches come either with stainless steel or two-toned bracelets which are characterized by great flexibility. These wristlets end with triple folding security clasps and incorporate the brand’s patented mechanism that makes it simple to remove with no need for any tools. As some of you maybe know, Baume & Mercier has created a variety of interchangeable straps and bracelets presented in leather or satin-finish. They are presented in a wide range of colors, to match the different personalities and tastes of women.
The first model with the referent number 10113 is a classic-looking timepiece in steel, while the second one with the reference 10114 is a two-toned version with 18-karat red gold crown, bezel, hands and the central part of the bracelet. According to the manufacturer, the guaranteed minimum gold weight is 7.59 grams.
These watches are not only gorgeous, but they are also top quality products from the well-known watchmaker who produces high-end timepieces since 1830.
These newcomers are equipped with Swiss made ETA 2671 mechanical movements that offer no less than 38 hours of power reserve. This caliber provides high-precision and reliability.
The special treat for watch aficionados is that the new Linea watches come with sapphire crystal case-backs through which you can admire their inner beauty (the oscillating weight is encrusted with “Cotes de Geneve”, snailed decor and reveals circular-grained bridges). The self-winding movement is built on 25 jewels and beats at the rapid frequency of 28,800 (4 Hz) beats per hour.
If you are planning to buy a new watch, maybe you can treat yourself with one of these Linea models.
