The German watchmaking company, Archimede, has enriched its DeckWatch collection with the DeckWatch model with Bronze case. This watch is already available in a stainless steel variant, and now all of you who are into bronze cases have the adequate option.
Like its steel predecessor, this newcomer features classic silvered dial comprising Arabic numeral hour markers, traditional blued steel hour and minute hands, as well as the small seconds indicator at the 6 o’clock position.
The new Archimede DeckWatch is housed in the finely brushed and polished bronze case crafted in-house by Archimed’s parent company Ickler. The Ickler company is founded back in 1924 by Karl Ickler and today this family business is managed by the third-generation. The elegant case measures 42mm in diameter and 10,50mm in thickness.
The latest addition to the Archimede’s family of watches houses the iconic ETA 6498 manual winding movement. The mechanical movement is built on 17 jewels, has a beating pace of 18,000 beats per hour (2.5 Hz) and it can store enough power to keep the watch ticking for no less than 50 hours.
From the rear, the see-through screw down case back with mineral crystal offers the view of this legendary hand wound mechanism.
The face of the watch is shielded with a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. The bronze case also incorporates a large winding crown topped with the brand’s logo which is located at the 3 o’clock position.
Just like all the other bronze timepiece from Ickler, this novelty features the same properties. The most important one, due the bronze watches are so popular, is that overtime, it will develop all the charm and charisma of vintage patina.
