Alpina has broadened its offer of diving watches with a new timekeeper called Seastrong Diver 300 Big Date. The name of this quartz-driven chronograph piece reveals some of its main traits, such as water resistance to 300 meters, as well as the presence of a big date indication which is placed at the bottom of the dial. The steel watch is paired with an aluminum bezel that is available in four different colors (orange, red, blue and gray), and it comes at the price of around $1,050.

Alpina Seastrong Diver 300 Big Date Watches

The Alpina Seastrong collection has been present ever since the 1960s when the Swiss watchmaker first presented a diving watch. Today, it is launching a new timekeeper of the same purpose called Seastrong Diver 300 Big Date.

Thanks to the inclusion of a screw-in crown and the case-back of the same kind, the watch is able to withstand water pressures up to 300 meters. By the way, the case-back is made of a solid chunk of metal and it is decorated with an engraving.

The housing of the watch is mostly made of stainless steel. Its round housing has the diameter of 44 mm. Additionally, there is a uni-directional rotating bezel, a distinguishing trait of diving watches. It features minute markers which are luminous, just like the hands and the indices on the dial. These features in the combination with an oversized minute hand are all contributing to improved legibility.

Alpina Seastrong Diver 300 Big Date bases its functioning on a Swiss made high-precision quartz movement which guarantees accuracy within 1/10 of a second to its stop watch feature with split time. Caliber Al-372 integrates 13 jewels and has the battery life of two entire years.

The newcomer from the Seastrong collection has a black dial with white indications and a few red accents. Its very bottom is reserved for an enlarged date display, which is always a welcome feature.

There are four different versions of the watch, where the sole difference is the color of the aluminum bezel. The supported colors are orange, navy blue, Bordeaux and gray. The more colorful versions look a bit better and livelier in the combination with the stark black face. Each of the versions is available at the same price.

For the wristlet, Alpina chose a black water resistant strap made of genuine leather.
