IWC dedicated its new limited watch edition to the Portuguese football legend Luis Figo. Seven IWC Portuguese Tourbillon Mystere watches celebrate brand’s ambassador and his successful carrier as a player.
With the new edition, Swiss watchmaker continues to maintain the close connection with the beautiful Iberian country. After 2010, which was declared as the “year of the Portuguese” that brought wealth of novelties in the brand’s Portuguese Collection, IWC Schaffhausen once again refreshed iconic watch family, with the striking Tourbillon.
Luis Figo IWC Portuguese Watch has a 44.2mm pink gold case and refined design of very best models from this famous family of marine watches. This stylish reinterpretation of the Portuguese Tourbillon Mystere Retrograde watch, comes with unique details to satisfy passionate IWC lovers and admirers of Luis Figo.
The central part of the watch is a tourbillon complication, visible trough a nicely designed round window, at 12 o’clock position. This most exclusive of all watch complications is integrated in the IWC’s Calibre 50900 automatic movement, which has a unique rotor, with engraved “Luis Figo” and his number “7″ (visible trough a transparent case-back).
Unlike the Caliber 51900 from the Tourbillon Mystere Retrograde, this mechanism features a small seconds counter, instead of a retrograde date display. However, it possesses the same incredible power-reserve of 7 days.
Watch dial is clear and extremely readable, with a great contrast of black face and pink hour numerals, minute indices and watch hands. It features a 60 seconds sub-dials and power-reserve indicator. Stylish look of the watch is accomplished with the elegant black leather strap.
Last years, Luis Figo promoted the Limited Edition Portuguese Automatic Tribute to Portugal watch. Famous football player will most definitely be the first owner of new model, so you can start the race for the remaining six models from the IWC Portuguese family.
