Hautlence teamed up with Swiss custom bike maker Vida Loca Choppers to create an amazing limited edition timepiece dubbed Invictus Vida Loca Choppers Chronograph. This limited edition model is produced in the limited series of only 28 pieces.
This partnership was born after a meeting of a master watchmaker at Hautlence and a passionate biker Joachim Besomi, one of the owners of the Vida Loca Choppers Sébastien Mottier, and the founder of the Swiss custom bike maker Manu Vionnet.
The partnership between two brands was the obvious choice because they share the same values, such as a true passion for fine mechanics and design, both companies are distinguished with rebellious spirit and a quirky style and they do not hesitate to break the rules and to push the boundaries in order to create a unique masterpiece.
Underneath the front extra-hard beveled, anti-reflective sapphire crystal glass there is a skull, the Vida Loca Choppers logo, which appears to float weightlessly on the top of the base opaline black dial. The stylized skull is placed at the center of the dial and it is framed with two honeycomb inserts on a black and green background.
The new Hautlence watch is housed in a titanium and steel black PVD case which measures 42mm x 49mm, with the thickness of 14mm. The water resistance of the case is assured down to 50 meters (about 165 feet). The reverse side of the watch reveals the commemorative inscription “Hautlence Vida Loca Choppers, Horlogerie Suisse, Limited Edition”.
Hautlence Invictus Vida Loca Choppers Chronograph is equipped with the Swiss made automatic Dubois Dépraz caliber 293 skeleton chronograph movement on a Soprod A10 base. The self-winding mechanism is compiled on the 45 rubies, has the frequency of 28,800 oscillations per hour (4 Hz), 42-hour power reserve, and functions of hours, minutes, seconds, date and chronograph. The impeccable mechanism is sand-blasted and circular-grained.
The Vida Loca Choppers Chronograph is attached to a hand-sewn, black “hornback” crocodile leather strap, with green topstitching, ending with a titanium folding clasp. The Neuchâtel-based watchmaker also offers a black rubber strap option. The retail price of the watch is 19,500 Swiss Francs which is approximately $19,850.
