Whoever buys the unique product by Bovet at the Only Watch 2011 auction, will get a magnificent wristwatch like no other in the world. Furthermore, the “Dragon & Phoenix” is not only an amazing wristwatch. Without any problems or previous training, anyone can convert this one-of-a-kind product into a pocket watch or a table clock.

Bovet 7-Days Tourbillon Reversed Hand-Fitting “Dragon & Phoenix” Only Watch 2011This interesting feature is enabled by the revolutionary Amadeo case, which is included in all timepieces from the Fleurier collection of Bovet Watches. This ground-breaking idea was envisioned by the brand’s owner Pascal Raffy, who had acquired Bovet in 2001. The Amadeo case (this time in red 18-carat gold and with diameter of 44 mm) enables the wearer to transform his wristwatch into a pocket watch or a clock by an ingenious system.

This awesome watch also has the Caliber 13BM07AI hand-wound tourbillion movement with reverse hand-fitting, which is undoubtedly its most notable feature. It enables the “Dragon 7 Phoenix” timepiece to have two dials, one on each side of the case. The tourbillion movement has the frequency of 4 Hz, and was designed and produced by Dimier 1738.

Bovet 7-Days Tourbillon Reversed Hand-Fitting “Dragon & Phoenix” Only Watch 2011The duality of the display and the history of the brand have determined the overall theme of the timepiece. The initial luxury products by Bovet were made for export to China, which is reflected by the use of motifs from the Chinese mythology on the two dials.

Dragon & Phoenix As Yin & Yang

The front dial sports the intricate engraving of the dragon, while the back dial represents a phoenix.  Together, these two mythical creatures forge yin and yang, a perfect harmony. The engraving of the dragon on the front spreads all the way to the bezel and the side of the case. Besides, the front dial sports a tourbillion cage that represent the flaming pearl (associated with dragons in Chinese mythology), which is used instead of the usual second hand. A small and discrete power reserve indicator is also visible at the nine o’clock (this watch includes 7-day reserve, hence its name).

Bovet 7-Days Tourbillon Reversed Hand-Fitting “Dragon & Phoenix” Only Watch 2011The back dial that shows the reverse hand-fitting is a bit smaller and adorned with the engraving of the phoenix. All the complicated engravings are done exclusively by hand and therefore it took more than 300 hours of hard work just to decorate this great and original watch.

With such versatility and uniqueness, the 7-days Reversed Hand-Fitting “Dragon & Phoenix” Only Watch 2011 is bound to attract a lot of attention.
