Victorinox Swiss Army has prepared new functional models for the Baselworld 2011. The latest arrivals are members of the successful AirBoss and Alliance collections, and will be available at a price range between $430 and $1000.
The inspiration for the AirBoss series is the officer on an aircraft carrier who coordinates every take-off and landing. That task requires pin-point precision and attention to details and these are exactly the characteristics of watches from the Victorinox AirBoss series.

Victorinox Swiss Army AirBoss
The latest timepiece from this series (model 241505) is somewhat simpler in its design and slightly smaller (diameter of 42 millimeters) than the AirBoss watches that preceded it. This smart Victorinox Swiss Army timepiece marks the return to fundamental values. The new AirBoss has three hands, three circles of digit tracks and a date aperture at six o’clock position. Every single detail is serious and sober and its readability is impeccable.
Though simple in its basic design, more careful inspection reveals that this watch has many fine details that don’t diminish its legibility. The best examples of intricate design are the raised Arabic numerals and the diamond-cut stripes on its dial. The new AirBoss features reliable and accurate automatic mechanical movement, which is visible through the crystal case back.
The Swiss Air Force product also includes anti-reflective sapphire crystal and a water resistance of 100 meters. This highly functional watch is available with a stainless steel bracelet ($1000) or a brown leather strap with contrasted stitching ($900). There is also a choice between a charcoal gray and a silver dial. This timepiece will be released this fall.
The New Alliance watch
Victorinox has also presented the new Alliance watch at the Baselworld 2011. This amazing timepiece also features the same sober design and functionality as the AirBoss.

Victorinox Swiss Army Alliance
The new Alliance is all about dynamism and fluidity. You can choose the color of its dial between three available options – lacquered black, silver with satin finish and sunray effect, and a matte-finished slate gray. The dial features only three Arabic numerals and raised sharp-edged hour markers. A neat date display is also available.
This series includes watches with or without chronograph function. All potential owners can also choose between a leather and stainless steel bracelet. Depending on your choice of features, the new Victorinox Alliance Swiss Army watch will cost you between $430 and $1000.
