One of the world’s oldest watchmakers Breguet has presented new luxurious timepieces at the Baselworld 2011. The groundbreaking Hora Mundi, one more model from the Classique and another from the Tradition collection have been exhibited, as well as the new Type XXII flyback chronograph.
The beautiful Hora Mundi Calssique 5717 is the first mechanical watch ever, with an instant-jump time-zone display system. This watch combines this iconic complication with synchronized indications for date, day/night and city. That means that this travel watch enables the wearer to instantly switch the time for two pre-selected time zones, with a simple press of a button and without the slightest disturbance to the operation of this dashing timepiece.

Three variations of the Hora Mundi watch are available and each of them depicts one part of the globe: the European and the African continent, the Americas, or Asia and Oceania. This amazing Breguet watch features a 44 millimeters wide platinum or 18-carat red gold case, 13.55 millimeters thick.

Breguet Classique 7337 Watch
The second novelty from the Classique collection is a refine and elegant Classique 7337 watch, with Breguet’s characteristic asymmetrical style, an off-centered chapter ring and small seconds at 5 o’clock. The day and date are displayed on either side, while the age of the moon indications are set at the top.

The beautiful hand-guilloche dial is a true representative of the company’s never-ending quest for exclusivity and excellence. It features the ultra-thin Calibre 502.3 QSE1 movement with 35 jewels. The automatic movement is fitted in the 39 millimeters wide case, made of 18-carat yellow, white or pink gold. Sapphire crystal is present on both front and back of the case of this lovely watch, and the strap is brown crocodile leather.
Breguet Tradition 7057 Watch and Type XXII Flyback Chronograph
The next Breguet newcomer is member of the Tradition collection. The Breguet Tradition 7057 features an 18-carat white, pink or rose gold case, with 40 millimeters in diameter. Off-centered black dial (made of electroplated 18K gold) is shifted upwards to reveal the hand-wound Calibre 507 DR1 movement with 34 jewels. Power reserve indication is engraved on the front and back of the movement.

The last but definitely not the least of new Breguet watches is the remarkable Type XXII flyback chronograph with a 1/20th of a second precision. It features chronograph seconds hand that makes a rotation in just 30 seconds, instead of the usual 60. That means that it makes two sweeps to time single minute.

This appealing product also features the automatic Calibre 589 F movement with 28 jewels, a flyback option, a second-time zone indication and a date calendar. The estimated price of this model is $18,000.
i was really attracted to the new Breguet watches. Especially the Hora Mundi, cos it is the most interesting. But, alas, I’ve seen the price for the chronograph and I imagine that the Hora Mundi is even more expensive. I guess i will have to search for more affordable alternatives.
@Morrey If you want an excellent watch like the Hora Mundi you have to pay big money. for a quality mechanical watch you will just have to pay the price. If not, buy some quartz with three hands and no additional functions. no offence mate, but good things don’t come cheap.
