Urwerk releases a limited edition of the exclusive UR-202S, with the satellite complication and an exclusive bracelet by Maspoli. This watch, also known as the Hammerhead, is the first timepiece with a solid bracelet by Urwerk.
Luxury brand Urwerk, masterminded by watchmaker Felix Baumgartner and designer Martin Frei, has displayed its new futuristic timepiece the UR-202S at Baselworld 2011 watch show. This magnificent product is constructed in a limited edition of 50 pieces.
Since the beginning of Urwerk, its hyper-modernistic creations have always been paired with a classical leather strap. That’s why the all-metal UR-202S with matching bracelet is a giant leap to new territory for Urwerk. The bracelet of the Hammerhead, known for its exceptional craftsmanship as the Rolls Royce of bracelets, is crafted by the distinguished high-end manufacturer Maspoli.
The Urwerk Hammerhead features the satellite complication. Time is displayed by telescopic minute hands, operating through the middle of three revolving and orbiting hour satellites. The dial also possesses three-dimensional effects and vertical lines. A moon phase and day/night indicator are among the complications displayed on the Hammerhead’s dial.
There is a choice of three versions of this amazing Urwerk creation. The cases are of the same material as the bracelets. Three options include gold, Titanium Aluminium Nitride coated stainless steel and polished stainless steel. The price of the mechanical masterpiece, with the designation UR-202S will be in accordance with its technical and aesthetical superiority. Whoever wants to wear it will have to pay at least $50,000.
