Coming from the exclusive Watchmaking Tradition series and its sub-section Master Collection, this middle sized chronograph is equipped with useful complications, such as a full calendar and a moon phase indication. The watch runs on Longines automatic mechanical chronograph movement which recommends the timepiece to the aficionados of complex mechanical timepieces. These horological qualities are supplemented with a high-end appearance dominated with a lovely silver dial with a barleycorn motif, stylishly painted Arabic numerals, and blued steel hands.

The silver face of the watch represents the elegant solution of incorporating all of its indications, without disturbing the aesthetic appeal and making the face seem overcrowded. For these reasons, the additional indications are combined with the chronograph counters. Two separate apertures with indications for the day of week and month are placed on the top of the dial, inside the 30-minute chronograph sub-dial.  The small counter at the nine o’clock position shows small seconds and time in 24 hour format, while the third counter at the bottom displays moon phases and the current month. The final featured indication is a central hand with a crescent-shaped tip that slowly circles the elegant silver face of the watch from the Watchmaking tradition series, and shows the current date.

The functioning of the complex watch is enabled with the inclusion of a mechanical self-winding caliber L678 (base movement Valjoux 7751) with 25 integrated jewels and the frequency of 4 Hz. The automatic caliber is 13 ¼ lignes wide and 7.9 mm thick, and includes a power storage that lasts for about two days.

This high-end timekeeper by the watchmaker from Saint-Imier is made with a round shape case which is constructed from stainless steel, 18 K gold, or combination of these two materials, depending on the variation. Being an upper class watch, its crystal is constructed from a scratch proof sapphire. Even better, sapphire is also featured on the case back, revealing the functioning of its mechanical caliber to the wearer. The overall construction of the timekeeper guarantees basic water resistance to just 30 meters.

There are four different versions of Longines Watchmaking Tradition Master Collection Full Calendar Moon Phase Chronograph timekeeper. Three versions of the model are made with the diameter of 40 mm, while the final version is 2 mm wider. The first among smaller modes is the L2.673.4.78.3 which sports a stainless steel case and a brown alligator strap. This styling is replicated with the next model L2.673.4.78.6 with the exception of the attachment. Unlike the first one, this watch is made with a 3-row stainless steel bracelet with a safety folding clasp. The third model is the only one with the housing completely made from gold. The model L2.673.8.78.3 has a pink gold 18 K casing which is paired once again with a brown alligator leather strap. As it has been said, there is also a slightly larger incarnation of the model. This variation bears the reference number L2.773.5.78.7 and features a two-tone steel and yellow gold case with the width of 42 mm which is combined with the matching metal bracelet.
