The last month of 2011 is a very exciting time for Invicta Watches, primarily because of the launch of the first ever mechanical timepiece with a tourbillon complication. Even though refine mechanical wristwatches are certainly not the first thing that pops to one’s mind when talking about this watchmaker, it is surely a nice effort of taking this company to a next advanced level. The new watch is made with Chinese-made movement that is not the most delicate of the existing ones. However, it enables all the potential buyers to acquire a product with a tourbillon feature for a very reasonable price.

Invicta Reserve Specialty Limited Edition 1573 Watch
This fine timepiece with an exceptional design is made in a limited edition, in three existing dial colors. Each of the models is made in only 200 pieces, which makes them even more rare and exclusive. The product is a part of the Reserve collection. Its mechanism is set in a quite chunky circular stainless steel case. The robust, yet very complex casing includes the diameter of 52 mm and the thickness of 21 mm, so it is fair to say that this would not be a timepiece for people who prefer a discrete timekeeping instrument. Since it represents a breakthrough and a landmark in the history of the manufacturer, this large size that draws attention comes as no surprise.

The case is the setting for the Seagull TY800 mechanical automatic movement with a visible flying tourbillon. The mechanism with 27 jewels runs on 21,600 vph with the power reserve of approximately 40 hours. The Seagull TY800 mechanism with a Cote de Genève decoration is visible through the exhibition case back.
Spider Motif on the Exceptional Dial
As previously mentioned, the landmark timepiece by Invicta features a very distinguished design. The case consists of more than four dozen parts. All the effort that was put in the construction is clearly visible in the appearance of the fixed bezel. The timepiece also has a screw down crown. The sophisticated design that we already underlined can be seen when you look at the dial of the watch that is guarded with the flame fusion crystal (as in all Invicta timepieces). In the background, there is a perlage motif plate which is the home of a spider shape decoration. The body of the spider is represented by the tourbillon cage, while the metal details represent the legs of the spider. Tourbillon cage completes a single rotation every minute and it is used to display seconds. There are three different colors of the exceptional dial: red gold (model 1574), gun metal (1573) and blue (1684). The tips of the hour and minute hands are luminous to insure improved visibility.

Due to the construction of the watch, it is able to withstand water pressures up to 500 meters. The timepiece for men is made with a chunky steel bracelet, constructed to be appropriate for the large case. It is 31 mm wide and fastens with a deployment clasp. The retail price of Invicta Reserve Specialty Limited Edition Tourbillon is still quite affordable, considering the inclusion of the mechanical movement with a flying tourbillon. It costs $2,715.
