The iconic Traveller Large Date, Moon Phases & GMT watch finally gets a transparent dial. This newcomer is available as either a classic looking stainless steel version or an elegant rose gold variant.
The latest creation from Girard-Perregaux boasts a metallic gray sapphire dial which partially shows the mechanical wonder behind the large date mechanism at the 12 o’clock position.

Girard-Perregaux Traveller Large Date, Moon Phases & GMT Rose Gold Watch
This sophisticated mechanism is the subject of an exclusive Girard-Perregaux patent and it is made up of two superimposed disks incorporated into the caliber GP03300-0109 automatic movement. One of them comprises pieces crafted from transparent folanorm with the thickness of just 0.10mm.
The juxtaposition of the disks provides an aesthetically perfect display in which there is no visible separation between the two disks. The moon phase display is the most amazing of these complications. It is represented by an impressive metallic treatment. Equally impressive is the fact that the moon phase indication is directly attached to the barrel, thus allowing for a very high degree of precision. The moon phase indicator is located between 7 and 9 o’clock position, and its poetic representation of our planet’s natural satellite. It also features a small second hand at its center.

On the opposite side, between 4 and 5 o’clock positions there is a second time zone indicator which thematically complements the motif outlined on the dial that is inspired by the Earth’s interlocking meridians and parallels.

Caliber GP03300-0109
The beating heart of the new Girard-Perregaux Traveller Large Date, Moon Phases & GMT is the in-house manufatured caliber GP 03300-0109 automatic movement which is visible via the sapphire case back. The mechanism is encrusted in the spirit of haute horlogerie, with an oscillating weight inspired by the shape of the GP tourbillon bridge. The impeccable movement oscillates at the rapid frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz). It is capable to store enough power to keep the watch ticking for approximately 46 hours. The watch is constructed to resist water pressure up to 100 meters (330 feet).
