The beating heart of the new Girard-Perregaux Cat’s Eye Power Reserve is the exclusive caliber GP03300-0070 automatic mechanical movement that offers hours, minutes, small seconds and date functions together with a power reserve indicator. The self-winding movement built on 27 jewels has a beating rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and is capable to store enough power to keep the watch ticking for at least 46 hours.

The most interesting part of the new watch is its dial which combines different visual effects and offers a face with a perfectly-defined character, thanks to its guilloché effect motif. The small seconds dial at the 9 o’clock position emanates finely striated rays arranged asymmetrically around it. Curves and grooves send back natural light to produce a random optical effect based on myriad reflections. An interestingly designed date window enhanced with two oval polished flanges is situated at the 3 o’clock position, while a power reserve indicator which is illuminated by an array of stars is placed between 4 and 5 o’clock position.

The dial comprises Arabic numerals 6, 9 and 12 which shine with specific intensity. There are also eight brilliant-cut diamonds (totaling 0.10 carats) set as hour markers which add the finishing touch to the exceptional dial surface. The leaf-shaped hour and minute hands are both domed and slender in profile.
Girard-Perregaux offers two versions of dial, as well as two type of wristlets. There is a choice between black and silver color of the dial, as well as a choice between a black alligator leather strap or a five raw steel bracelet fitted with a folding buckle.
