Durability under the water

The new Fortis B-42 Marinemaster Chronograph watches implements a superb functionality and highest legibility to fulfill ultimate requirements of professional diving. New watch model from Maritime collection features a bezel with extended teeth, for the easy grip and turning.

Although Fortis became well-known for its Aviation and Space watch collections, traditional Swiss watchmaker also justified its name (‘strong’) under the sea. Fortis diving watches of highest quality, with innovative designs and functional and reliable mechanisms, definitely could be a good choice for different type of under-water activities.

The new Fortis B-42 Marinemaster Chronograph is made of brushed steel and has a 42 mm case with the pusher protection. Its unidirectional black-toned, stainless steel bezel is inscribed with indexes from zero to 60 and features luminous capsule with blue afterglow at 12 o’clock position. The large push-in crown, push pieces and screwed-in caseback provides water resistance up to 200 meters.

Nicely designed matte black dial has oversized Arabic numeral hour indexes at one, two, four, five, seven, eight, 10, and 11 o’clock with superluminova white and blue afterglow in the darkness. That black on bright white’ contrast ensures a good visibility, even in extreme conditions under the water.

Plus, the three subdials offer full chronograph function. 30 minute counter is at12 o’clock, 12 hour counter is located at 6, while 60 seconds subdial is at 9 o’clock.

The Fortis B-42 Marinemaster Chronograph diving watch is powered by the Swiss automatic ETA Valjoux Caliber 7750, with 25 jewels. It is resistant to mechanical shock and vibrates at frequency of 28,800 times per hour.

The final protection for this durable watch is provided by scratch-resistant sapphire crystal window that features anti-reflective cover on both sides. The Marinemaster comes with black rubber strap with a double folding clasp.

Great watch. Want to have it in my collection. I already have one Luminox Navy Seal, Seiko Velatura and Swiss Army Master. The first thing that I check when buying the watch is a watch face. I demand to see bunch of things on it. This Fortis watch is exactly the one that satisfies my taste. Its style, design, functionality, everything is outstanding. Love its masculine look and gear edge on basel is absolutely amazing.

This watch has a lot of great things on itself, but there is one thing which is a huge mistake about this watch and that is the rubber strap. After all those modern features and great additions on the watch, there is a rubber strap in black, white, blue or orange color. It`s the seriousness of the Fortis manufacturers. It should be a stainless steel bracelet or maybe a leather strap.

I`ll agree with Corey, the strap is hilarious. Fortunately, there is the water resistance of 200 meters, so I can go on diving because it`s my hobby and I enjoy it. Although the price is very good, I don`t have the money for it. I hope I`ll have it in the future.

The orange model is the best. It looks so nice, refreshing, interesting and lovely. Honestly, I don`t like Fortis watches, but this one has really occupied my attention and I have a serious plan to buy this model of the watch. It will look very nice on my hand because I have a dark skin.
