Designed in a somewhat intimidating all-black color scheme, Chrono Bike Black Limited Edition Watch is presented in a rugged-looking body. This year’s novelty from Festina is produced in only 3,000 pieces.
Festina tends to increase the size and the thickness of their timepieces in order to make their design more substantial and bolder. According to this fact, Chrono Bike Black Limited Edition 2011 watch is extremely robust and it has a tough construction.
This boldly looking timepiece is crafted from black PVD-treated stainless steel and incorporates a striking bezel, created to look like the links of a bicycle chain. Its distinctive bezel has Arabic numerals 15, 30 and 45 as the indications of minutes.
Its masculine, round case measures 47.5 mm in diameter and the thickness of 15 mm, with the weight of 172 grams. The case also includes a crown and two push buttons with anti-scratch treatments. This limited edition watch is secured to the wrist with a black rubber strap, ending to a pin buckle with the engraved logo. This sports timekeeper also has a screw down case back, and its solid case construction provides water resistance up to 100 meters (330 feet). Further, the dial window is shielded by a mineral crystal with 6 layers of anti reflective coating for the best durability and perfect clarity. This extremely robust men’s wristwatch is powered with Japanese Miyota 6S10 quartz movement that guarantees high precision and reliability for a long time.
Skeletonized Hands and Chronograph Counters
The design of its black dial is clearly inspired by some bicycle elements. The three-dimensional dial features polished, skeletonized hands, three chronograph sub-dials and little, white Arabic numerals as hour markers that are set on the raised rim. There is also a date window, situated between three and four o’clock positions.
Each of three chronograph counters is styled differently and nicely framed with silver colored circles. The 1/10 second sub-dial is set at the 12 o’clock position; the 60 minutes counter is situated at the 6 o’clock position, whereas the 60 seconds sub-dial is located at the 9 o’clock position.
This year’s Chrono Bike limited edition watch comes in a special present box and it can be purchased for approximately $650.
