Festina Ceramic Chronograph Men’s Watch

The new Festina Ceramic Chronograph Men’s Watch features a nice looking combination of top grade stainless steel and high quality ceramic. The inclusion of the ceramic into more common watchmaking materials is Festina’s newest penchant, and it seems (for now) it was a perfect match for this manufacturer.

Festina Ceramic Chronograph Men’s Watch F16576/2

Festina Ceramic Chronograph Men’s Watch F16576/2

This large-sized men’s wristwatch has a round case which measures 46 mm in diameter, with the thickness of 13.6 mm. Its fully polished stainless steel case carries a charming ceramic bezel with a tachymeter scale, inscribed by Arabic numerals to mark time in ten-minute steps. On the left side, the case incorporates a crown and two chronograph push buttons. Here I must say that the crown could have been somewhat smaller to make it more proportionate to the polished case. The water-resistance of the case is assured down to 100 meters (330 feet) below water surface.

A Young and Contemporary Collection for all Styles

The new Ceramic watch from Festina is animated by the precise Japanese quartz movement with the time, date and chronograph functionality.

The dial window is shielded by a mineral crystal that protects it from scratches. For the best readability under all conditions, Festina incorporated luminous hands, as well as enlarged, polished Arabic numerals for even hours, and double markers for odd hours. The dial also comprises three chronograph counters for measuring 24 hours, 60 minutes and 60 seconds. They are nicely situated at three, six and nine o’clock positions. The results are perfectly legible, thanks to luminous sub-dials hands. The right date of a month is available through a little date aperture, set between four and five o’clock positions.

The refined timekeeper from Festina is secured to the wrist with a stainless steel bracelet with white ceramic inlays on its central segment. Its metal bracelet is fitted with a length adjustable folding clasp to match any size of a man’s wrist.

Festina offers three different variants from this line. The extremely shinny model F16576/1 sports a bright, white ceramic bezel and the matching ceramic inlays on its bracelet. The exceptional model F16576/2 sports a black colored ceramic and it perfectly fits with any wardrobe and in every occasion. And as the last but not the least, there is the eye-catching model F16576/3 that features blue ceramic inserts. This youthful timepiece could be a perfect choice for today’s trendsetters. Each of these men’s watches is available for approximately $350.

  1. Barney Sears November 21, 2011

The inclusion of the ceramic into watchmaking materials is modern idea. The past decade was the decade of ceramics in watch industry. Watches designers found that ceramic is extremely durable and quality material, but also pleasant to wear. The exceptional model F16576/2 with black colored ceramic is the most beautiful watch in this collection.

  2. Adam Crane November 21, 2011

It is important to know that ceramic materials aren’t the same as the ceramic. Ceramic materials include metals and inorganic elements. The first ceramic watch was introduced by Chanel ten years ago in its collection J12. Ceramic watches are extremely resistant to scratches and lighter than stainless steel and they aren’t cold. I would like Festina to include much more ceramic materials.

  3. Philip Ewing November 21, 2011

Adam and Barney are the real lovers of ceramic materials. The mixture of ceramics and metals are innovations, but in the future, this will be the standard. This is the advice how to clean ceramic: first, clean the watch with a soft cloth, then spray it with the window cleaner and finally, clean it again with a soft cloth.

  4. Adam Jonson May 7, 2012

All three models are very fine. I had a Swatch with ceramic plates on the bracelet and I was very satisfied. They are really very useful additions to any watch. They are resistant to scratches, they look very nice and give the watch an extra dose of luxury.

  5. Sami May 7, 2012

I was always wondering why watches with ceramic cost more than regular ones?! But now, thanks to Adam, I know what the main reason for that is. Thanks Adam. Anyway, the model with blue ceramic plates and blue dial looks extraordinary. This is really a fine work from Festina manufactures.

  6. Greg Hamilton May 7, 2012

The ceramic plates watches are the best! I was looking for a good watch with ceramic and I have finally found it. This Festina Ceramic Chronograph will be mine as soon as possible. Of course, the price of only $350 is very acceptable for any man, especially for me and my budget.

  7. Don July 17, 2012

The design of this model is fascinating. I think of the black watch – F16576/2. It has a phenomenal ceramic bracelet whose design would attract every modern man. I love big watches like this one and I think that every serious man should have a serious watch with a great case.

  8. Shawn Palmer July 17, 2012

Does anyone have a picture of this watch on a hand? I like the bulky models because they look powerful, but I have a problem. My wrist is quite small, so big cases seem a little funny. In any case, I will try this watch in a store.

  9. Alexander Murray July 17, 2012

Shawn, you will hardly find such a picture on the internet. I think that it is the best way to try this watch in a shop. Otherwise, this is an excellent watch. It belongs to a group of the cheapest watches. More precisely, it is located between a low price group and entry level luxury.
Frankly, I would like to assort this model to the group of super luxury watches because it has phenomenal quality and durability.
