How many watches do you know which possess all of these key features – extreme toughness, an exceptional design, a blend of luxurious materials and finally, a high-quality mechanism? Probably not so many. With a J12 Chromatic Diamond timepiece, Chanel managed to integrate all these elements, thus creating one of the most desirable watches on the market.

A unique blend of Chanel’s classic ceramic and titanium that are together highly polished in order to get powerful reflections, give the watch both, a unique appearance, as well as a super high resistance that will keep the watch look equally beautiful for decades. I have already presented the classic J12 Chromatic timepiece that is definitely one of the brand’s most distinctive products, with the monolith gray color of its titanium ceramic. (Read the review here.) Now, you can discover another step forward in terms of intriguing design and the use of luxurious materials.

The absolute highlight of the J12 Chromatic Diamond timepiece is a wonderful 18 karat white gold bezel, set with 34 baguette-cut diamonds (2.5 karat total). While the classic Chromatic with its unidirectional turning bezel possesses specific mix of sporty look and Chanel’s distinctive elegance, diamond pieces emit pure elegance and glamour.

The exceptional artistry of Chanel’s craftsmen is demonstrated through every single part of a beautiful grey dial. The metallic center with an aesthetic vertical satin finish is surrounded with the circular guilloche pattern at the edges that are adorned with 12 baguette-cut diamond indicators (0.4 karat each). Rhodium-plated mirror-polished hands are crafted in 18 karat white gold. Unlike the classic Chromatic, diamond versions do not have a date function which has probably been omitted for aesthetic reason. The crown, also crafted in 18 karat white gold is highlighted with a brilliant-cut diamond.

The other diamond version of the J12 Chromatic features a titanium ceramic bezel, beautified with 54 diamonds with the 1.4 karat in total. Besides, it comes with 8 diamond markers on the dial. Both versions, powered with Swiss made self-winding movements come with 38 mm cases, while quartz models feature petit, feminine 33 mm cases. Each of them is available with a beautifully polished, triple link bracelet, crafted in titanium ceramic.

Both models are fine, but I prefer the model with diamonds on the bezel, it looks classier. Also, I must said that I don`t have any experience with Chanel watches. Does anyone know something about this watch?

  2. Berta Smith May 16, 2012

Dear Beatrice, I don`t know absolutely anything about this watch, but if they are good as Chanel perfumes, there is no doubt that they are great watches.

  3. Rohna Edwards May 16, 2012

It`s very interesting to see a watch with titanium – ceramic bracelet and bezel. I intend to buy this beautiful watch soon as I find out how much it costs.
