It is truly amazing how many exceptional variations of the same basic design Chanel offered to its fans. What makes us impressed every time when we see a new J12 model is the innovative and visually remarkable combination of high quality materials. By creating a J12 Calibre 3125, an exceptional timepiece also known as “Chanel by Audemars Piguet”, the French watchmaker put emphasis on a haute horology mechanism, made by the renowned Swiss manufacturer. This does not mean that you will stay indifferent to the handsome blend of black ceramic and yellow gold.
In order to equip its watch with a high-end movement that is not just a technological masterpiece, but also a visually impressive mechanism with beautiful finishes, Chanel has chosen the perfect partner, the watchmaking giant Audemars Piguet.
The final result of this partnership is a CHANEL-AP 3125 self-winding movement which is a redesigned version of AP3120 movement that incorporates a distinctive balance bridge with variable inertia, eight counterweights and a rotor made in black high-tech ceramic and 22 karat rhodium-plated yellow gold. This mechanism comprises 40 jewels, oscillates at the frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and provides the superb power-reserve of 60 hours.
Chanel J12 Calibre 3125 watch features a 42 mm case, made of the brand’s renowned black high-tech ceramic, while a striking unidirectional bezel comes in the beautiful blend of matt black ceramic and 18 karat yellow gold. Inscribed with the minute scale, the bezel is distinctive by the number “0″ at the top, instead of common “60″. A bracelet looks really beautiful. It is also crafted in black matt high-tech ceramic, with the addition of an 18 karat yellow gold clasp.
The dial features a pretty much the same classic J12 design, with the exception of strong golden tones that look really cool on the matt black surface. Beside gold Arabic numerals and hands, there are a highly luminous minute track at the outer rim and a second rail-road style track in the center, as well as a white date indicator.
The case-back is also crafted in 18 karat gold, with a transparent, sapphire crystal central part which completely reveals the mechanism. This extraordinary timepiece is followed by an extraordinary price. You can get one for about $23.500!
