The DS Podium Unisex watch, as the name suggests, can be worn by both – men and women. Certina incorporated a highly accurate and precise Swiss-made Quartz Chronograph Movement in this sporty classical watch.
The 34 mm round case of this watch is crafted from high-quality 316L stainless steel. It features a tachymeter scale (with or without a black PVD coating) with black or white indexes and Arabic numerals. Its case is only 10.15 mm thick, weighing 53 grams (the total weight of this watch is 89 grams). The case construction also incorporates a protected crown and two push-buttons. The upper and lower buttons are a little bit smaller than the central one.
Its face, as well as its case-back, is covered by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal that protects the dial from everyday wear and tear, and provides perfect readability. The watch is also equipped with Certina DS (Double Security) system for protection against dust, shock and moisture. Further, the DS Podium Unisex is water resistant to 100 meters (330 feet), which means that it can be worn while swimming and diving.
A Swiss made quartz movement provides the full complement of hours, minutes, central seconds, as well as a date function and chronograph functions. Its dial includes three chrono counters for measuring 1/10 second (set at the 2 o’clock position), 60 seconds (positioned at the 6 o’clock) and 30 minutes (set at the 10 o’clock position), with ‘add’ and ‘split’ functions. A small date window is also included at the 4 o’clock position.
Certina offers four quartz watches from this line. Two of them are attached with a comfortable black strap, and you can choose between models that are either treated or not with a black PVD coating (their referent numbers are C001.217.27.057.00 and C001.217.17.057.01).
Two other watches are accompanied with a three-row stainless steel bracelet and there is a choice between a sleek black dial or a sporty blue one (their referent numbers are C001.217.21.057.00 and C001.217.11.047.00).
These timepieces are appropriate for both sexes and they perfectly go with almost any outfit. Depending on a model, the retail price of the DS Podium Unisex watch is at the range from $500 to $550.

Men’s watches always attracted me, because all ladies models are “fabulous” and which is more important – less functional. I bought a couple monts back Podium unisex with black dial and steel bracelet, and many of my friends (male and female) were interested to buy it because they liked the design.
This watch is astonishingly good looking, it keeps time with great accuracy. Well I guess it’s normal since it is a Swiss Made Timepiece. In relation to its price, the quality is great. I wear it proudly on special occasions. I have this Certina for quite some time now and it seems .I will wear it for many more years to come.
I bought my Certina DS Podium Unisex Watch during one of the wonderful summer vacations in Switzerland. From that moment, this watch has become my faithful companion in everyday situations. I’m very happy because I have this great timepiece.
I bought Certina over a year ago. I noticed it in an advertisement on the back cover of a magazine. It looked so good in the picture that I wanted to buy it the same day. I did and until that moment this watch has been an indispensable part of me.
