Model C001.617.16.297.00 looks very stylish and seriously.
I like brown color so the brown leather strap is perfect for me…..It looks sensational!
I must have it very soon.
Once again people from Certina menage to surprise me and make this excellent watch. This will be great addition to my collection, and it will be very nice to see this cool watch on my wrist.
I’m satisfied with my DS podium big size…on my wrist everyday..
I agree with you. I must say that this model is one of my favorite Certina’s timepieces. As I already mentioned, it can be described as a quality watch with a good price.
Models with leather straps look much better than other models. The watch looks very nice and stylish. You can wear it practically in everyday situations. It has beautiful design and it can be worn in some special events or something like that.
I like the chronograph on this watch. The layout of circuits inside the dial is good. The movement is great and reliable. This watch is simply one of the best watches that Certina has to offer.
Have you ever had the impression that a little thing can change your day, or maybe a life, too?! I had that impression, and you know what? One little thing has really changed my day, and not just a day, it has changed my life. It was this Certina DS Podium Big Size!
I felt a really incredible relief when I put the watch on my hand for the first time. From that moment, I`m a different man.
Does anybody know why the blue dial C001.617.11.047.00 only have 3 hands on centre tap while the other chronos have 4 (ie C001.617.11.037.00) ?
ETA 251.262 vs ETA G10.211 ? .. even if the price is the same ??
Hello Rune,
do not worry about hands, it is only a matter of style. All Certina’s DS Podium Big Size chronographs provide the same chronograph functionality.
The mechanism is ETA 251.262 quartz movement and it is one of the most precise and accurate quartz movements. If you like this model, than go for it
Thanks for the answer, but how can the chronograph functionality be the same with one hand missing?.. The ETA 251.262 has minute and second centretap hands for the chronopart, and the C001.617.11.047.00 is missing one of them according to the photo (also on Certina’s homepage where “user manual” links to G10, not 251.262).
I agree with you, but according to the information on Certina’s official site, they are the same models. You may contact your nearest retailer to find more details about this particular model. Good luck.
Certina has wrong photo of the blue dial C001.617.11.047.00. It has two centretap hands. Certina have been given feedback on this, but they don’t bother change the photo. A bit weak, i think.
