It is time for yet another sporty newcomer from Certina. The new DS Action Chronograph Watch is a stunning timepiece that features a broad bezel and oversized, partly-skeletonized hands, indices and indicators which make reading the time as easy as it is possible in all conditions.

Certina DS Action Chrono is available in two variants: the first one with a sleek, black dial and the second model with a vivid, blue dial. There is also a choice between two types of bands. For those of you who prefer comfort there is a moulded rubber strap, while for those who are more into bracelets there is a three-row brushed stainless steel bracelet, both fitted with safety folding clasp with diver extension.

This new sporty watch has been enhanced by the uncompromising precision provided by its cutting-edge PrecidriveTM movement.  The beating heart of the watch is the Swiss-Made ETA G10.212 quartz movement.

The watch is housed in a brushed 316L stainless-steel case which is slightly oversized with the diameter of 43mm. The case is shielded with a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides. The case construction provides water resistance up to 300 meters (approximately 1,000 feet).

As I have already mentioned, underneath the sapphire glass lies either black or blue dial with three counters. A 30-minute chronograph counter is placed at the 10 o’ clock position, while on the opposite side, at the 2 o’ clock position, there is a 1/10th seconds totalizer. A small-second counter is located at the 6 o’ clock position. Each sub-dial is highlighted by a silver-colored outline.

For the best visibility under low light conditions Certina applied superluminova substance on large dots at five-minute marks, as well as inside the bold triangle-tipped indices at 12, 3 and 9 o’clock positions and the same material has been applied on the various hands. Its dial also comprises a date display which is conveniently situated at the 6 o’clock position.

On the right side of the case there is a protected screw-in crown monogrammed with letters “DS” and two screw-in push-buttons with black PVD protection.

The reverse side of the watch reveals the presence of the historical Certina turtle logo which is a constant reminder of the DS Action’s outstanding quality.
