Certina DS Action Diver Watch

Written by Bo Nicholson on August 25, 2011 in Certina Gent Automatic Collection, Certina Watches - 3 Comments

This year’s masterpiece from Certina is definitely DS Action Diver watch. The new timepiece insures the resistance of 200 meters beneath the water’s surface, so you can wear it during swimming or even for shallow snorkeling.

Certina DS Action Diver WatchWith this novelty, Certina has joined to the other Swatch Group divers, such as Tissot SeaStar and Omega Seamaster. Nevertheless, this is not Certina’s first diving watch, because they have already crafted a well known, DS-3 dive watch that is still collected today.

Reliability is guaranteed by the stringent international standard for water resistance in dive watches ISO 6425 production techniques.

The DS Action Diver is equipped with accurate Swiss-made ETA 2824 automatic movement which provides hours, minutes, central seconds and date functions.

Its 43.2 mm round case is crafted from high-quality titanium and it features a striking black-colored unidirectional bezel with white indexes and oversized Arabic numerals in the same color. Other features of this new Certina watch include a screw-down crown and a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, with an anti-reflection coating that protects the watch from everyday wear and tear.

Additional Superluminova hands and indices, set on the sleek black dial, insure clear reading in all situations (even in deep darkness). Even though it is protected with a sapphire crystal, it will be readable after a long time of heavy use. The date window is set between the 4 and the 5 o’clock positions and it perfectly matches the dial with its black color.

Certina DS Action Diver WatchThere are two additional models that are available. The first one comes with a gracefully three-row detailed titanium bracelet, while the second one is attached to a comfortable black rubber strap. Both models are equipped with folding safety buckles and diving extensions that will keep the watches with you at all times.

The price of this latest men’s watch from Certina is at the range from $800 – $1,000. I must say that this is a reasonable price if we have in mind all the features which make this watch a perfect tool for diving.

This is the first diver watch that I like because it has a classy style. I like this watch and the most important for me is an excellenteven in deep darkness.

  2. John September 27, 2011 at 1:40 PM ·

This is really the perfect watch for diving with excellent characteristics. Titanium is my favorite material. I am thrilled with this fascinating model.

I agree with John that this is the perfect diver watch with exclusive design. I would have preferred that the watch is with chronograph because I need it in sport.
