Certina DS-1 – sporty and elegant
Certina DS-1 automatic is a classic watch, both sporty and elegant. It provides a double security. Since the first models were launched in 1960, Swiss made DS-1 watches have achieved a great worldwide popularity, thanks to its reliability, precision and innovation.
With Double Security concept, Certina set new standards of water and shock resistance. Its watches feature o-ring gasket on stem, two o-ring gaskets in crown, specific gasket on case back and reinforced case back.

The 39 mm case is made of polished and satin finished 316L stainless steel and comes with a stylish slim bezel, which gives an impression of clarity and leaves an open view on a black or “ivory” dial. Hour markers, stick hands, as well as Arabic numerals on other dial that shows minutes, provide high legibility.
Simple but authentic design is completed with two perpendicular lines that cross at the watch’s center, in a unique harmony of lines.
Swiss made ETA 2824-2 automatic movement
As a member of Swatch Group, Certina DS-1 uses a powerful Swiss made ETA 2824-2 automatic movement, which provides a great reliability and accuracy. Arm and wrist movements spin the rotor in a mechanism, which in turn winds the main spring, eliminating the need for a battery.
A superb mechanism is protected with a scratch resistant sapphire crystal, which is part of the Certina’s famous DS concept.
Metal bracelet or a good quality leather strap, with metal clasps mach perfectly to a classic elegant look of Certina DS-1, which is very similar to a more famous and much expensive watch from another “Swiss made family”, Tag Heuer Carrera.

Very nice watch…..it’s very elegant and sophisticated….models with steel bracelet are designed for serious gentlemen, while models with leather strap also looks elegant but in the same time they can looks sporty….great watch…..my compliments…
I had a similar watch. This one will definitely be next in my collection. I am thrilled that such a simple and at the same time elegant design can fascinate my personality. Yet I am a very picky person.
I cannot believe that there is a person who likes this watch….it looks so old.
I can`t imagine myself with this watch…..I prefer chronograph watches….
This is a good watch, my friend bought it one month ago….it has a perfect movement and the design is nice. I recommend to everyone to buy it.
Model C006.407.16.081.00 has a perfect contrast between its black dial and brown leather strap. I like watches with leather straps instead of steel, they look better.
