A Perfect Companion for Adventures

Casio Pathfinder PAW5000-1 watch is made for adventurous people. This timepiece is able to work accurately even in the most difficult conditions. A tough movement technology with auto hand position correction, which is also found in the Casio G-Shock Giez models, provides a superb durability.

Casio Pathfinder Watch PAW5000-1 detailThough its design is quite robust, Casio Pathfinder PAW5000-1 watch is elegant enough to be worn in every formal situation. Still, this Casio watch is primarily designed for the outdoor activities and that’s the reason why the manufacturers came up with many helpful additional functions.

This model has a well known Casio Pathfinder triple sensor technology. Digital compass, altimeter, barometer and thermometer are only some of its features. All those features make this Casio watch necessary for many outdoor rugged activities, such as skiing or hiking.

Casio Pathfinder PAW5000-1 watch has a combination of analog and digital dials, which wasn’t so usual for the latest Casio Pathfinder models. The minute and hour hands on the watch’s blue face have special design with cut-outs, which enables easier reading of the values on the digital display.

The Second Hand as a Compass Needle

The second hand of this sort of watch has additional cool functions, as it may become a compass needle and then point to the west. The second hand of this Casio watch can also indicate an altitude differential and a barometric pressure tendency, depending on a sensor mode chosen and it is done in an analog format which is very easy to detect. To make sure you will find your way, the compass measures direction as one of 16 points and also possesses a function for a magnetic declination correction.

Casio Pathfinder Watch PAW5000-1The altimeter of this Casio Pathfinder model has a measuring unit of 5 meters, a measurement range from -700 to 10,000 meters, a memory for 14 records (which includes date and time besides the altitude) and it also shows the altitude highs and lows, as well as a tendency graph.

The option of seeing atmospheric pressure tendency graph during your outdoor adventure is also available.

The Casio Pathfinder PAW5000-1 is resistant to pressures up to 100 meters below the sea level.

Casio designers have also included Tough Solar Power with a power indicator and a power saving function, so you wouldn’t have to worry about the battery condition. Without additional exposure to the light, the solar rechargeable battery can last for about five months.

Similar to products from Casio G-Shock, Oceanus and Waveceptor series, the PAW5000-1, just like many other Pathfinder timepieces, has a special technology which enables it to be extremely precise. This Casio watch is equipped with Multi-Band Atomic Timekeeping, which means it receives signals from the very accurate atomic watches, situated around the globe, up to six times a day.

The Casio watch also features world time, auto LED light with afterglow, auto calendar, five daily alarms and a 1/100 second stopwatch.

I just love Casio watches and this one is definitely one of top models. plenty of features plus it it really good for outdoors, i always use it when i go hiking. it retails for 450 USD, but you can get it for under 400 bucks.

Athletic watches look powerful because of the many details on their dials. This watch is perfect! I don’t know what I like more, the strap or the dial or the case…

  3. Michael January 4, 2012

The solar rechargeable batteries are an excellent solution for this model because it has many useful features which I can use.

  4. Robert Barker January 4, 2012

Michael is right. I can use this watch 24 hours and not care about the battery. The design of the whole model is really impressive.
