I purchased the Casio OCW-S1400-1AJF and am very well pleased. (Black/blue model) I bought mine through Amazon.com and the transaction went well..It was shipped from Japan. The watch is sure to get compliments when you wear it..The blue accents really pop, and tend to shimmer and change color when viewed from different angles. I gave it to my son who has to dress well for his job. It goes well with a suit and tie..I can only hope he asks me if I want it back !!!!

Would be nice if some of the owners of the 1400 would post some public pictures in real world scenarios. I like the 1400, but can’t decide on the color. Pictures on the web seem doctored. Also, did you order from Japan to the states? If so, how was duties etc payed and how much?

As a proud owner of this magnificent watch I can assure you that it’s big enough to be very legible. Good choice of dial colors also improves its legibility. It could be only called small if you prefer the same watches as Flavour Flav.

Casio Oceanus is very unique watch – I recommend this watch to anyone because I have already bought one and just love it. This definitely not a cheap watch – Very classy and high tech.

I’ve bought one (OCW-S1400-1AJF) just 2 weeks ago. I’ve always been a Seiko/Citizen guy only buy Casio if price is under $500. But this one is my first Casio that costs over $1000.00.
I hesitated at first but once I brought one home and set home time and let it receives atomic signal over night, it is a wonderful time piece that no other watch can match. light, thin, accurate and will pay for itself over time like zero maintenance, self charging, self adjust down to the second each night, auto DST set twice a year, self charging by available ambient light. And icings on the cake are: MADE IN JAPAN, Sapphire crystal, Titanium case and band, time around the world (29 cities), chronograph function, dual time display, 24h dial, perpetual calendar date display. And this watch is RARE, I am not likely run into another person with the same watch. I just love this Casio Oceanus Manta wristwatch!

@Bob combination of titanium and sapphire crystal with water resistance of 10ATM should be quite tough. sounds very durable to me, though i do not own it myself

As I can see from the review, this watch has accuracy, amazing functionality and nice eco-friendly technology, which is pretty good recommendation for it. I’m not such a big admirer of Casio, to be honest, I didn’t spend much time in getting acquainted with this brand. In this case, I was attracted by the picture and I have to say, that I’m very surprised, positively, with facts about the Oceanus. Still, I’m not sure about its durability, so I need to hear some experience, before I decide to buy it.

I’ve got this watch and i am really satisfied.The Oceanus is packed with features and you have to admire the technology with separate motors for different functions. Plus, it has accuracy of automatic watch and it doesn’t even need a battery replacement! Oh, it also looks terrific, its black and blue dial is superb. The best watch I ever owned!
