Ever since the introduction of the first Casio G-Shock back in 1983, this brand has continually evolved and has introduced many new amazing functions and groundbreaking design. It’s no wonder that Japanese company have chosen to include its latest cutting-edge Bluetooth Low Energy Wireless Technology to G-Shock watches. The brand-new and innovative G-Shock GB-6900 is only the first of many planned Casio timepieces that will be equipped with this great feature.

Casio G-Shock Bluetooth WatchThe Bluetooth Low Energy Wireless Technology is crucial because it enables the Casio G-Shock to communicate with Smart Phones. This fact expands the number of functions available for this watch, and the first and quite apparent is the fact that it is able to receive time calibrations from a smart phone.

Furthermore, the new G-Shock also includes an alert signal to notify of all incoming SMS messages and e-mails, sent to the user’s smart phone. It is also possible to stop a phone’s ringing and vibrating with a simple tap on the watch. This truly amazing next generation watch also enables the wearer to activate alarm functions of his smart phone by using a watch button.

The continuous communication between the watch and a smart phone is possible due to introduction of the new Low Energy Bluetooth Technology that Casio developed. Energy is used very rationally, and if a communication lasts for 12 hours during a day, the battery lasts for astonishing two years. The data transfer rate for this type of connection is 1Mbps and signal range is from two to five meters, depending on the surroundings.

Casio G-Shock Bluetooth WatchThis avant-garde Casio product also includes many useful traditional features, which are so characteristic for timepieces from G-Shock series. It has a distinctive tough design that enables it to be resistant to various kinds of shocks and impacts. The toughness is expanded with a water resistance of no less than 200 meters.

The Casio G-Shock Bluetooth GB-6900 Men’s Watch also includes five independent daily alarms that enable its owner to keep track of his daily meetings. Hourly time signal and a vibration function are also available. The new G-Shock also possesses an advanced 1/100th of a second stopwatch with split time option, countdown timer and a world time feature for 100 cities and 35 time zones.

The exact price and date of release of the shock-resistant wristwatch with next-generation performance has not been announced, though it is known that the new Bluetooth G-Shock will be available sometime this year.

This is a great idea. G-Shock watches keep pushing the limits. This is what you expect in a product these days. new unseen features plus toughness of a g-shock. Can’t wait ’till it gets out!

I completely agree. For us who prefer to own cool watches with the latest features, this new Casio is must-have. World time, stopwatch with extreme precision, alarms, resistance of a g-shock and low energy bluetooth technology… the list is more than impressive.
