Bulova Diamond Fairlawn Watches

The Fairlawn series by Bulova Watches includes decorative timepieces from both Diamond and Dress Collection. Products with the Fairlawn designation are made with quartz movements and smooth design. However, it seems that the technical side of these watches was not in the spot light which will deter people who appreciate traditional watchmaking. On the plus side, the technical simplicity reflects on the affordability and reduces the prices of these products. However, let us not get to critical, because it is fair to say that what Bulova Diamond Fairlawn watches lack in technical sense, they certainly make up with distinguished style and refined design.

Bulova Diamond Fairlawn Round WatchThe distinctive feature of the series is a finely crafted three-row steel bracelet that is elegant and befitting to the smaller cases of these watches. The bracelet features a raised central part and three-dimensional side links. It is very eye pleasing and it fastens with a deployment clasp. Bulova Diamond Fairlawn Watches do not include any additional functions and run on quartz calibers, but are still supremely packed and quality constructed products which can be bought for less than $500. Two specific watches that we are going to review in this article are, apart from being in the Fairlawn series (because of the type of the bracelets), also included in the Diamond Collection. Like all the other products in this collection, these two ladies’ watches have diamond decorations on their stationary bezels, and the exact number of gemstones is 20 in both cases. Among the identical features of these two watches there are: the same material of cases and bracelets (stainless steel), refine-looking analog white mother-of-pearl dials with Roman numerals, cabochon crowns and water resistance to 30 meters (100 feet). There are also quite a few differences between these two models, and certainly the most visible of them is the shape of the case. While the model 96R159 has a round case, Bulova watch with the reference number 96R160 has a rectangular face.

The main distinction of this version, its circular case, has the subtle diameter of 26.7 mm, suitable for a women’s wrist, and the thickness of 6.8 mm. This model was made with a black cabochon crown. Besides, it has a silver sweeping seconds hand, and hour and minute hands in the same color. The retail price of this watch is $425.

The rectangular Bulova Diamond Fairway model is also slim and elegant. Its case is 21.5 mm wide, 35 mm high and 7.3 mm thick. Unlike the previous timepiece, this version is made without the second hand and with blued hour and minute hands. The rectangular version, made with a blue cabochon crown, is slightly more expensive than the first one, and retails for $450.
