Last week, Tissot launched a new Vintage collection which comprises of automatic and quartz watches that are intended for both men and women. The new Vintage models are luxury, yet affordable, which makes them perfect for the widest range of watch aficionados.

Tissot Vintage Automatic Watch
The new Vintage models are available in either 18-karat yellow or 18-karat rose gold cases. Those of them which are powered with Tissot’s in-house manufactured mechanical movements come with transparent casebacks which display the engraved rotor with a wave design and the Tissot’s name on it.
All automatic Vintage models are equipped with the Powermatic 80 movement which is named for its 80-hour power reserve. The precise and reliable mechanism oscillates at the frequency of 21,600 semi-oscillations per hour (3Hz) and although it is not COSC-certified, it is the same mechanism that is incorporated in the Tissot Powermatic 80 Chronometer.

These elegant timepieces feature dials which come in either black or white color, with one ladies’ variant which comes with a mother-of-pearl dial. Each automatic model features an elegant guilloche pattern engraved in the center of the dial which is surrounded by a flat track for the hours, with either Arabic numerals, or stylized Roman numerals at the quarter hours (12, 3, 6 and 9) and angular appliques for the other hours. All appliques are crafted either from yellow or rose gold. A date window is located at the 3 o’clock position.

Tissot Vintage Quartz Watch Front
The Swiss watchmaker also offered a thinner, quartz version which is also intended for both men and women. This variant features a very simple, retro look.
Tissot Vintage Quartz models feature thin batons as hour markers which are placed on a flat white, a fumé or a sunburst silver color dial surface. They do not have the guilloche center, but they boast the same faceted dauphine hands as the automatic version. The quartz model also features a date display at the 3 o’clock position.

Tissot Vintage Quartz Red Gold Watch
Whichever model you choose, the water resistance of the case is assured down to 30 meters (about 100 feet). The new Tissot Vintage watches are teamed with leather straps in different color options, ending with butterfly clasps. Depending on a model, the new Vintage models are priced from $2,100 for the quartz version, and from $2,500 to $2,750 for the automatic models. The Vintage Collection will be available in the U.S. in May.
