The Swiss luxury watchmaker Raymond Weil collaborated with the fastest growing company in the music and sound industries – Gibson Brands to present the new Nabucco watch that will be issued in the limited quantity of only 200 pieces.
Raymond Weil Nabucco which is officially presented at the Baselworld 2015 watch exhibition is inspired by the self-tuning Gibson SG Standard. The watch is housed in a round case crafted from stainless steel and titanium. The sporty case incorporates a gray ceramic bezel with a tachymeter scale and it is shielded with anti-reflective sapphire crystals. The water resistance of the watch is assured down to 200 meters (about 660 feet).
Underneath the front glass lies a black galvanic dial encircled by six grooves symbolizing the strings of the Gibson SG Standard. The dial also shows the Gibson logo and the iconic emblem at the 12 o’clock position. There are also three built-in subsidiary dials.
The special edition Raymond Weil Nabucco is powered with the in-house made caliber RW5010 mechanical chronograph movement that is capable to provide enough energy to keep the watch ticking for at least 46 hours when fully charged. The self-winding mechanism is built on 27 jewels.
The new Raymond Weil is teamed with a black alligator-pattern rubber strap which is secured to the wearer’s wrist with a titanium and polished steel safety folding clasp with a double pusher.
