In less than a week, H. Moser & Cie will showcase the new Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Funky Blue Watch at Baselworld 2015. The new H. Moser & Cie watch that features a clean and easy-to-read interface is one of the smartest mechanical implementations of a perpetual calendar.
This novelty is housed in an 18-karat white gold case which measures 40.8mm in diameter. The watch is powered with the in-house manufactured caliber HMC 341 hand-wound movement which is capable to store enough power to keep the watch ticking for no less than 7 days. Furthermore, the sophisticated Moser interchangeable escapement guarantees the highest accuracy.
The movement is hand-finished and decorated, and boasts a gold escapement wheel and a pallet fork, as well as the original Straumann hairspring with stabilised Breguet overcoil. The movement beats at the low frequency of 18,000 alternations per hour (2.5 Hz). The calendar mechanism is momentary, and can be adjusted backwards and forwards at any time.
H. Moser & Cie Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Funky Blue features a blue fumé dial featuring a graduated color that darkens towards the edges. The month is indicated by the small central hand which uses the hour markers as months. A date window is placed at the 3 o’clock position, while the leap year indication has been exiled to the movement side, thus keeping the dial as clean and simple as possible. A power reserve indicator is placed on the opposite side, at the 9 o’clock position.
The curved case back of the new H. Moser & Cie Perpetual Calendar allows the watch to wrap around the wrist in a more comfortable and secure way, thus providing superior wearing comfort.
The H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Funky Blue (the referent number 1341-0207) will be shown next week and it will come with the retail price of Swiss Francs 54,000 which is approximately $60,000.
