At the upcoming international watch show in Basel, Tissot will present several interesting models. Today, I will introduce to you the new Tissot T-Race Touch Aluminium Watch which is actually a new version of the brand’s famous analogue-digital timepiece, but now housed in an aluminum body.
The new sexy aluminum case is available in four different colors: blue, green, black and orange, which is shown in the picture below.

Tissot T-Race Touch Aluminium Watch
Last year at the Baselword, the Swiss watchmaking brand presented the T-Race Touch line and this newcomer is a logical extension to this range of sport watches. There have been only a few changes, such as more textured plastic parts, as well as slightly increased letters on its inner bezel flange.
The beating heart of the watch is a well-known Swiss made Quartz movement which powers hours, minutes, seconds, perpetual calendar, chronograph (split, cumulative and sequential times), logbook, countdown, GMT, two alarms, tide calculator and compass function. The watch is also tooled with quite useful backlighting. All these operations are managed via a couple of push-buttons set at the right side of the case, as well as via a number of touch-sensitive areas on its scratch-proof sapphire crystal.
To increase legibility in low light conditions, Tissot coated its hour and minute hands with a white luminous compound that looks quite contrasting against the matte black surface of the dial. There is also a large LCD display tooled with effective backlighting which makes the watch easier to read.
As its name suggests, this novelty houses aluminum case with the diameter of 42mm. The case is constructed to resist water pressure of up to 100 meters (about 330 feet). This timepiece is inspired by the world of motorsports and its sporty style is visible in all its parts, from the dial, to the strap which is made of the synthetic fabric. The wristlet is fitted with a standard buckle.
At the moment, I do not have information about the retail price. I only know that the watch is listed as sub CHF500, so we can expect that it will be retailed for no more than $560.
